Darkness. The Void. Cold. Empty. Unfeeling.
And then...
Nicole: Soon, soon you will know, what I know...
Rheya: Blood calls to blood. Flesh draws to flesh. Soon... all will burn.
Amy shoots awake, gasping from a nightmare.
Amy: WHAT?
A hand gently grips her shoulder, she rolls over, meeting Adrian's eyes.
Adrian: Amy? Are you alright?
Amy: Yeah, I... I just had a bad dream.
Adrian: What was it?
Amy: I don't know, it was all these images. This old temple... a tree with blood seeping out... this woman saying how all will burn...
Adrian: Peculiar.
Amy: Any idea what it means?
Adrian: No, but we all have nightmares sometimes.
He places a tender kiss to her shoulder.
Adrian: What matters is what we do when we wake up.
Turning her head to the side, admiring Adrian behind her, she offers him a thankful smile.
Amy: You can be really cheesy sometimes, you know that?
He scoots closer to her, wrapping his arms taut around her from behind, placing gentle kisses along her neck.
Adrian: Only for you.
She lets out a flirtatious giggle, pulling herself away from him.
Amy: We should probably get to work, huh?
Adrian: I've got a quick errand to run, but I'll see you there.
She turns and kisses him, losing herself in the bliss of the moment.
Breaking away from her comfort, she pulls herself out of bed and opens her closet, in search for today's outfit.
*Hmmm... what should I wear to work?*
Spotting a dark blue blazer with a black tube skirt, perfect mixture of classy and sophisticated; she flips out of her nightwear and changes into the outfit, heading toward the mirror.
Amy: Okay, yeah, I'll just say it. I look good.
With a grin and twirl, she heads out of her apartment to work at Raines HQ.
A little while later, she heads into her work building, elevator ascending until she reaches the conference room floor, heading over to her desk.
Adrian is awaiting her, nodding as she approaches.
Adrian: Looking good, very good.
Amy: As always.
Adrian: What's on the itinerary for today?
She flicks through her planner, fingers skimming the information.
Amy: Let's see here, a meeting with R&D for a new malaria vaccine, an appointment to speak with the candidates for Vega's seat, and of course-
Adrian: The Council meeting.
Amy: Indeed.
Adrian: It's strange, it's been six months since the Feral incident. Six months since the confrontation with Vega, and yet it seems like it was just yesterday.
