An Exchange of Gift

Third person's POV

Kiyan and Janus yawned as they ate breakfast. Kiyan thought I may have slept but it never felt like one.

Kiyan scouted on the top of the wall. He already yawned several times and he yawned again I want to sleep. He pulled the wrapped gift from his cloak and smiled I'll give this when I'm done.

Elsa's POV

I'll give it to him when I'm done scouting.

I put my shield and sword on my back and started walking, observing the crowd closely. I arrive upon the arena, I smiled as I recall everything that happened here - me and Dianne's duel which we ended up losing, Janus' first appearance on the Kazoku state with an intense victory...

...and Kiyan's victory against the Valor champions.

I could still remember everything that I had goosebumps How I wish I could be as strong as Kiyan.

Kiyan pointed a finger on my left chest Sir Sabrac once told me while I was still a trainee that your strength starts here, no matter how hard things comes your way, you'll get through it.

I'm about to move away when a bright orange glow of fire came from the arena What's going on? I went inside and saw someone practicing by herself Anastasia?

I could see her rapier enveloped in flames as she swung it around, doing a shadow spar.

The flame on her rapier grew larger then swung it vertically in front of her, a flaming shockwave traveled from the blade and exploded on a distance. I approach her You seem to be doing well practicing by yourself.

She turned Hey, I was just practicing by myself.

It's the Lovers' Festival, An', you should be having fun.

She chuckled wryly, scratching her head It's kind of awkward for me to join, all couples are everywhere.

I replied I kind of feel you though but you, at least, make the best of the event. After all, the Festival only celebrates every winter. She went quiet for a while then asked Do you mind if we have a short spar? I want to know if I improved on training myself.
