Hoseok doesn't usually spend his nights like this. He would've been at a bar right now if it wasn't for his friends canceling on him last minute. So here he was, sitting on the sofa with the remote in hand, mindlessly flipping through the channels. He was dragged away from whatever was on the tv when his phone beeped.

Curious, he grabbed the device off the little coffee table placed in front of him. He unlocked the phone to see that he had received a message from a number he wasn't exactly familiar with.

"can we move brunch from saturday to sunday? god is being pissy again smh"

Hoseok rolled his eyes at the text. This must be one of his lovely friends who had nothing else better to do. He sighed before typing out a reply.

Hoseok [sent 9:24PM]

"okay, who's idea was this? you crackheads 🤦 i swear kook if it's you, no more good hyung ( 'ε' )"

Tossing the phone to side, he went back to his channel surfing. A while later he received another text.

?? [sent 9:32 PM]

"whoops my bad. this isn't 'kook' just got the wrong number sorry if i disturbed you."

Hoseok [sent 9:35 PM]

"s'okay"

He still thought that it was one of the boys, but left it at that. He got up from the couch and decided to call it a night.

The next morning, Hoseok was up and energetic the moment the sun came up. He had to go meet his idiotic friends. Jungkook had forced the other two to go out with him on his morning run because he "needs the support." Hoseok knew this was bullshit but went along with it anyway.

Two agonising hours later, Hoseok came home, drenched in his own sweat and regretting his decisions.

He was third wheeling most of the time too.

Taehyung would act as if he hurt his ankle just so he could get Jungkook to carry him around with Hoseok trailing behind the two. He kind of wished he had someone to pick him up too. He shook the thought out of his head and washed up to resume his day.

It had been a few days since his little get together with the boys. It was Saturday, meaning that the two would be busy with their classes and won't be able to hang out at all that day.

So instead, Hoseok decided that he needed to tidy up the apartment a little. Whilst in the middle of doing the dishes, he heard his phone go off, signalling a new message. He wiped his wet hands on a nearby towel and headed for his phone.

It was the same number that texted him a few days back.

?? [sent 5:20 PM]

"seokjinie my favourite hyung :^ please tell me you spoke with the big guy"

Hoseok's brows knitted together in confusion. They said they would't text this number again.
