Jeon's house;

"Jungkook, come downstairs to eat breakfast!" Jungkook's mom shouted at the direction of his room, echoing sound of plates touching the wooden table mixing with the background.

"I'll be down in a second!" Jungkook shouted back. And really, not too long after, he stormed in the kitchen where his mom was, dressed in school uniform, hair messy from the shower.

"So what's for the breakfast today? I'm so hungry," he greeted through a smile, rubbing his stomach while settling down.

Mrs. Jeon smiled at her lovely son. "I made pancakes, i know you love them."

"I really have the best mom in the world, don't I?" he said as he kissed her on the cheek, just like every morning.

Another big plate with pancakes and some fruits was placed on the table. Jungkook sat on one of the chairs and started eating in silence, enjoying the delicious food.

But silence broke when his mom sat on the seat in front of him and softly spoke.

"So Kook..."

Jungkook stopped chewing, keeping food in his mouth, and looked at his mom. "Yes mom? Is something wrong?"

"Well, it's just that..." she carefully thought about her words, finding the softest way to say it out loud. "You'll be graduating high school soon. Have you thought about what will you do after that?"

Her son gulped. No, he didn't think about it at all. Mentioning that right now was that moment he realized how important such decision is, probably the biggest in his life yet.

"No. I didn't," answered he, looking down at his plate.

"That's okay," his mom confessed. "Your dad and I talked a little about that... I found the information that 'Big Hit Intertaintment' is making a boy group. So why don't you go to audition? Having the chance to become an Idol, that sounds great, doesn't it?"

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, adverting his gaze back up. "And why would I do that? I'm awful at singing and that kind of stuff. "

"That's not true!" Mrs Jeon frowned. "You went to dancing club for so many years, so you have experience in that. As for the singing, I heard you singing so many times in the shower, and you don't sound bad at all. Practice can make everything even better you know?"

Jungkook just stared at his mother without speaking anything. Was he supposed to take those words as compliments?

"See? There's no reason for you not to go," she pointed out.

Jungkook heaved a sigh. "Do I really have to?"

"Sweety, of course you don't. We are just thinking about what's good for you and your future." She gently placed her hand over his, and gave a ressuring, soft smile. "You won't know until you try."

Calming down a storm inside his head, Jungkook took a deep breath and uttered: "Alright, I'll think about it."

His mom grinned. "Thank you, honey!" She then stood up, kissed Jungkook's head and went out of the room, excited to tell her husband about their son's future plan.

On the other hand, Jungkook wasn't so sure about this. True was that he loved to sing and all, but it's totally different when you sing alone and in front of who knows how many people.

Little did he know, that was the beginning of a new chapter in his life book.
