Chapter 1

It was dawn, the sunlight peeked through the curtain and shined on my pale face. My ruby eyes opened slowly and squinted a bit since the sun was in my eyes. I sat up and relaxed for a bit. As I was relaxing my cat, Grand Bois Chéri came and sat on my lap. Oh how I enjoy his company. I pet his rich fur and he let out a comforting purr. "I love you too Grand Bois" I said to myself. I carried Grand Bois off of my lap and got up from my bed and gently put him down on the floor. I go to get some of my petticoats and begin to undress myself from my night gown and begin to dress in a formal gothic lolita attire. I looked at the mirror to check if I looked good. "Lovely as ever" I mumbled. I began putting on my beautiful twin drills. They make me appear elegant and poised. I finally finished getting dressed, so I went down stairs to the kitchen to make some tea. But before I made myself some tea, I made some food for Grand Bois. He doesn't care for dry food like other cats do, he fancies in food like the food we eat and he also likes tea like I do. I guess we share the same mind. After I gave food for Grand Bois, I made some royal milk tea and sat down as I drank my tea. My name is Celestia Ludenberg, I'm a gambler and I never lost a game in gambling. I've beaten those who challenged me and I gambled everything, even my own life and I managed to keep my winnings. I'm known as the queen of liars. I can manipulate those who are weak and even those who are strong so they can do my bidding. I don't have any parents, it's just me and my cat, Grand Bois that live here. I manage to survive by gambling, it's the best thing I can do. Grand Bois is the only thing I care about, he listens to me, he loves me, and he knows my secrets, like my real name. I hate my real name it makes me cringe with disgust. My birth name is Taeko Yasuhiro, but I changed it to Celestia Ludenberg. It's beautiful and it suits me very well. After I finished my royal milk tea, I go outside to get the mail and go back inside to check to see if I have anything interesting. I got two magazines, a newspaper, and a letter. I set the magazines and newspaper aside and opened the letter. As I read the letter, a smile crept on my face. I've been accepted to Hopes Peak Academy as a super high school level gambler.
