45. Start a family? (Fluff)

Omegaverse! Keith is the Alpha and Lance is the Omega!

Keith is on a business trip in the UK for two weeks, he's working on a project with his brother and trying to break a deal with one of his clients. Lance was home alone, well not really alone. He has his unborn child in his stomach. Lance found out he was pregnant this morning, he had gone to the doctors because his heat was two days late and he was worried something had happened to his body since he was a healthy omega. Keith had been gone a week, and it's been three weeks since they had sex last, which was during Keith's rut. It turns out Lance missed a day of taking his birth control on accident. He's not upset or anything, he's actually really happy.

Lance can't really wait for Keith to return in a week, so he pulls up FaceTime and calls Keith. He knows it's late where he is but he can't help it, he wants to tell his alpha right away. It rings a couple of times and Lance is faced with his sleepy alpha.

"Lance? Are you okay?" Keith yawns after he asks his mate if he's alright. Lance smiles fondly at his mate.

"I'm okay I guess, sorry for waking you." Lance apologizes and Keith only looks at him with a kind smile.

"It's okay, baby." Lance's heart starts to race after Keith says the word 'baby', he's getting really excited to tell Keith he's pregnant.

"So, I went to the doctor's early this morning." Lance starts and Keith sits up and turns on the bedside light quickly.

"Lance I thought you said you were okay, what happened?" Lance only chuckles at his mate's concern. Keith sets his phone down so it still looks at him as he ties his hair quickly, "Do I need to come home early?" Keith asks as he puts a shirt on quickly as possible.

"Babe! No, you don't need to come home early!" Lance tries to stop his mate from packing, "Keith, I'm not dying or sick!" Keith finally stops and lays against the headboard, he sighs and glares at his mate.

"Keith, I have a question." Keith gives Lance a look, "Don't change the subject, Lance." Keith says with a stern tone, Lance only smiles at him and chuckles quietly.

"Just answer my question, Keith!" Lance says in between a laugh, Keith sighs but nods. "When was the last time we had sex?" Keith goes slightly pink and looks off to the side, "U-Um maybe three weeks or so? Why are you asking?" Keith turns back to his mate, Lance only chuckles at his shyness.

"How do you feel about starting a family?" Lance asks and Keith looks at him with confusion.

"Start a family?" Lance face palms at Keith's oblivion, Lance sighs and takes the pregnancy test he took at the doctor's a small strip that is pink and has two lines on it in a zip lock bag out of the drawer of his nightstand. He holds it up to the camera.

"Keith, I'm two weeks pregnant." Keith's jaw drops and he freezes, Lance only smiles then looks down at the pregnancy test. He will always remember his reaction when he found out he was pregnant.

"My heat was two days late, and I wanted to make sure nothing happened to me. The doctor did every test to make sure my body was okay and healthy and when all those tests came out negative for harmful things, he made me take a pregnancy test. When it came out positive, he told me I was pregnant." Lance places a hand on his stomach, by now he has tears going down his cheeks.

Keith has a few tears going down his cheeks as well, "Wow, Lance - I can't believe this!" Keith is beginning to look happy and Lance can't help but be even happier. Lance chuckles while wiping his tears, "The past week my behavior was scaring me, I was making a mess of our room, but after thinking about it. I started nesting." Keith wipes his tears, now wanting to be home with his mate.
