Today was the day. I was about to leave everything I had ever known behind : my friends, my home, my school, my family and a whole lot of memories. I wake up to my alarm on my phone and open my eyes. I look around my empty room. The only things left in my room are my school uniform, suitcase, a few bags and my mattress. I get out of bed and get dressed for school. I had so many emotions running through my mind. I don't say anything to anyone, I just get ready grab a piece of toast and bring my remaining things downstairs. I then walk out the front door and walk to school. My whole life flashes before me as I'm walking to school. So I walk quicker, not wanting to think about it as if I do I'll start crying and then I won't be able to bring myself to leave.
I get to school and everything stops. I suddenly forget about everything around me and just focus on what I'm doing right now. I say hello to my friends and the bell for the start of school goes. 'I have hours left until all of this is gone' I think to myself as I'm walking to class. 'So who's free after school today' Ellie says as we sit waiting for the lesson to start. I ignore the question and just sit slouched on the desk. 'Dani you seem really quiet today, everything okay' Rosie says realising I'm ignoring everything. 'Yep I'm fine' I say snapping out of it and sitting upright in my chair. Then the teacher walks in and the lesson starts.
It's fourth lesson and the day has flown by. I'm in the middle of the lesson, about to finish my sentence when a teacher from the office knocks on the door and the whole class turn to face her. 'Daniela can you go down to the office with your bag please, your Mum is here'. She then leaves the room and I get a few strange looks from my friends as I stand up and put my pencil case in my bag. 'Where are you going' Rosie says across the table, 'to London' I say in response before leaving the room quickly. I walk round the corner of the office and see Dianne stood waiting for me and I burst into tears.
