Chapter 3 : The uninvited guest

Abbie's mom called out to Abbie from their apartment window opposite to  that of Ashley's window.

"Abbie! Honey when are you coming back home!? You have work tomorrow! Don't you dare to plan to skip work ! Lawyers should not skip work! And come back from work with Ashley tomorrow .I need your car tomorrow. Abbie! are you listening to me!?".

"Who wouldn't!", replied Abbie with her sarcastic tone. 

                

                   Day bled into nightfall. There's no sign of Ashley turning back to a male again. Now four of them got worried.

" You cannot go back to work in this condition. Let Abbie handle your cases till you get back to your normal physical state," suggested uncle James leaving Ashley feel queasy. 

Everyone around him knows how much he loved his work and his existence. He worked so hard to show his biological parents what they gave up on. How can a mother give up her son and never call him once is all Ashley asked every time he got drunk. No wonder he looks down on woman.

After giving it a long thought Ashley agreed," Yeah, it will create a chaos if media comes to know about this. Abbie handle my cases and tell boss I'm sick so I went out of the States so I won't be back to the law firm any time soon. Make sure to ask him to keep it confidential. No one should know that I am sick. Just tell others I am on a leave for Uncle's work. The law firm should depend on you while I am away ."

Uncle , Ann and Abbie gave him a sad look. Clearly they pitied him.

"And ask others to not to  bang their head on the wall too hard if they miss me," added Ashley with a mischievous smile. Everyone smiled, like he wanted them to. Well like SHE wanted them to. No more HE, it's SHE now. 

Everyone agreed to the plan of Ashley going to hibernation till SHE turns back to HE. How long she will have to hide inside her house she had no idea.   

            It's quarter after 1 am. Abbie picked her purse as she was about to leave when the bell rang.  Ashley , who stood in front of the door to open it for Abbie, opened the door  as soon as he heard the bell rang.

"Hello Ashley", said the young man in a white attire,to be more precise white suit, with a smile from ear to ear.

"Hel...",before finishing his own sentence Ashley slammed the door on the young man's face and turned to Abbie, Ann and Uncle who stood few feet away. 

"How does he know I am Ashley! Did you guys tell him!?"

Others shook their head from side to side in shock. 

Suddenly the young man walked in from Ashley's bedroom. Everyone froze. Ashley opened the main door to check whether he is hallucinating or not  only to find out he is not hallucinating. Everyone wondered,their apartment is in 13th floor, how can a human at the main door in a fraction of second enter the house through window?.

"Yes you all are thinking the right thing ", laughed the young man," I can hear your thoughts. I am not a human indeed! ".

Everyone stood in shock.

"Who are you then?", asked Ashley faking to act brave.

"Your guardian angel Ashley!. I am Dan.  I am here  to guide you so that you can turn back to Ashley the man from Ashley the woman. But I come uninvited and leave whenever I am done saying!", answered Dan with enthusiasm.

Ashley ran towards him and held his hand," please help me please!".

"That's how Rosa begged you right?," laughed Dan loudly.

Ashley threw Dan's hand into the air," If you are here to taunt me then please leave. I made Mr. Grey offer her an amount she wouldn't be able to earn in this lifetime and she did not take it. It is her fault not mine!."

"You can't buy dignity with money. You can't buy reputation with money. You can't buy the unborn child she lost with money", explained Dan with a calm expression. Suddenly others looked gloomy after hearing this apart from Ashley who was adamant to believe that he did his  job only. 

After a long silence Dan said," If you hide in the house you might permanently stay in this body. If you want to get back to your normal physical state you have to go out. Deal with all the situation you encounter. Until you realise what it takes to be a woman you can't get your body back".

Ashley sat on the floor. He never seemed so depressed before.

Before disappearing into thin air Dan looked down at Ashley to say," best of luck!" , and whispered in Abbie's ear," You are a kind woman. You deserve someone better. Get over this selfish man .Or woman I should say HAHA". 

But Abbie paid no heed to Dan. After all love is something an Angel or anyone else can't comment on, she thought.

"Son, join my company till you get better. Take the chief-in- editor post and take my company to higher level. I have faith in your capabilities", said Uncle with confidence. Ashley  hugged him like a baby does when it's afraid. Abbie and Ann wrapped their hands around Uncle and Ashley. Suddenly the warmth in this group hug gave Ashley some confidence. 

" I will get through this.After all I am the MAN", rejoiced Ashley.

"No the WOMAN actually!," said Ann as they all bursted into laughter.

"Funny," replied Ashley with a frown. 

"Shh everyone I am making a call," said Abbie as she put her cellphone on her ear , " Mom? iron my blue shirt for tomorrow I will come to change my clothes at morning. I will have to stay with Ann tonight again to dress a woman at morning. Love you".

Ann looked at Abbie with excitement.

"Are you thinking what I am thinking hun?", asked Abbie with a smirk.

"Hell yeah!," replied Ann.

"I can help any woman you guys ask me to", added Ashley with a flirty tone.

"Hmmm SURE!", Ann and Abbie said together with a wicked smile.

It tools few seconds for Ashley to fathom their intentions but as soon as he did he took small steps backwards before he finally started to run towards his room. But apparently two ladies are stronger than one lady. Abbie and Ann pushed their way in Ashley's room before she could lock it. 

With a wicked smile Ann said," Ready brother?..oh no..you ready sis?".
