Slamming the door, Tyler stormed out of his house, if you could even call it that. It was more like an oversized shed with paint peeling off the side, smashed windows with bars of wood nailed over them, holes dominating the roof and weeds growing wildly out of the numerous cracks in the walls. Scowling at the dump he called his house, he jerked on his leather jacket, pulled his pants lower 'round his hips and began walking.
He reached the end of his driveway which was just slabs of cracked concrete with untamed weeds sprouting all through it, easily disguising with the rest of his overgrown garden, which had grass up to his shins and weeds growing out of every crevice in the ground.
Ignoring the fact that he lived in a crap house surrounded by a crap neighbourhood he made his way over to his step-father's car. Stealing a glance back at the house to see if anyone had noticed him leave, he saw his drunk step-father, having yet another outburst at his poor mother. She backed away, terror written clearly across her face, she risked a fleeting look at Tyler before nodding subtly at him that she was fine. He sighed, his step-father wouldn't miss him, he never did, not that he cared of course he didn't need him and he never would he thought stubbornly to himself.
He revved the engine and stepped swiftly on the pedal, just in time to see his step-father race outside, pure rage showing in his facial expressions, and his face glowing red with fury. "Get back here now you f****** mutt! You'll never get away with stealing my freaking car, I'll be waiting here when you get back, then you will be in trouble!!" he bellowed ferociously.
Tyler smirked, yeah right like he was ever coming back to this hell hole again. Apart from to rescue his helpless mother, but he'd do that when it was dark, when Gabe was out wasting himself like every other night. Then, he'd crash out at Alex's house and they'd drink themselves stupid, draining out the rest of the world before heading off to the club. He smiled; he liked the sound of this plan already.
He swerved recklessly on the road, grimacing, he slowed his speed down, trying to control his driving. He was 15 tomorrow and struggled driving a car as he'd never been taught before, however despite his age, he acted as though he was 17, drinking, partying, smoking and just mainly causing trouble. He was part of the most popular gang in the city, "Satan's Henchmen" and was looked upon by all the wannabee's. The attention was plentiful and he loved it!
He arrived at Alex's house at 9:00pm that Thursday. It had taken him 20 minutes to reach the city centre where Alex lived. He'd then had to dump the car and walk 10 minutes to get to his house as to not risk being caught by the police that patrolled the area. He arrived at Alex's, and barged straight in, rewarded with view of Alex, his best mate, on the couch, arguing with his older brother Kyle.Tyler smiled at the familiar scene he usually walked in on. He grabbed a beer and made himself at home on the couch opposite. Alex nodded towards him, acknowledging his entry before resuming his argument with Kyle.
Both the brothers were also in the gang with Tyler and lived alone in a rented place in the middle of the city. Kyle was 18 and had moved out straight away to get more privacy and be away from his useless parents, however Alex, who was 15, insisted on coming with him, and even though the brothers fought a lot, they were actually really close. They were both born in New Zealand and were from a Maori background, though the family had moved to London when Alex was 3. They grew up in the centre of the town, and had to learn to look after themselves because there parents were rarely home, and when they were, they did nothing except sit in front of the TV all day demanding the boys get them dinner and slave over them.
