Souls Among Us is inspired by a thread on a certain website, The Dæmon Forum, ( http://daemonpage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23938&sid=e7a2c9f8cd1026c648c2b1ae6f58c805&start=0 ) , in which users were challenged to write a story telling of their normal day when dæmons become corporeal.
The most well known example of dæmons is shown in Phillip Pullman's trilogy, "His Dark Materials". Dæmons also exist in the real world, but not in the same way. (For more information on dæmons, I recommend this site: ( daemonpage.com )) I myself have a dæmon, who has helped me greatly with this story.
The character of Pan is a renamed version of myself, and her dæmon Kipper is my own. Everyone in this story is real, although for the sake of privacy, I have altered their names.
