Kairi sat alone in her room, hugging her pillow to her chest as she stared out the window. Looking out over the garden, her eyes fell upon your bedroom window just in time to see your figure climbing out of it. Sitting up straight, she placed the pillow beside her and opened her own window. She was about to call out to you but stopped herself as she saw you jump onto the castle wall and run across it.

This wouldn't have been the first time Kairi saw you escaping from your room and she doubted that it was going to be the last. She let out a heavy sigh as she grabbed and began to hug her pillow again, continuing to watch as you ran across the wall.

A small smile graced her face as she saw you begin to scale up the tower wall like you were some kind of spider. All her life, Kairi wished she could be more like you. She wanted to be brave, she wanted to be able to speak up when she disagreed with something her parents or anyone said, she wanted to be able to fight for what she believed in, but most importantly, she just wanted you to ask her if she wanted to leave the castle with you sometimes.

Kairi didn't have the guts to leave the castle on her own because the chances of her being caught were high, but she was sure that if she went with you, the two of you could sneak out and have a fun time outside the castle. Deciding that watching you sc up a wall was getting boring, she let out a sad sigh as she turned away from the window and towards her door, wondering if she should make a run for it.

Moving off her bed, she made her way towards the door, her hand shaking as she reached for the handle. Was she going to do this? Was she really going to open the door and run? Taking in a deep breath, she grabbed the handle, closed her eyes, swung the door open and ran, only to run straight into someone's chest.

"Damn, Kairi... are you okay?" Shizuo asked as he grabbed her shoulders and kept her steady. "What were you doing?"

Shaking her head, she stepped back into her room, a sad look appearing on her face. Today wasn't going to be the day. "Nothing. I just saw ~~~~~ leaving and I was going to try and stop her." She shrugged.

"She was leaving? Where was she going?" Shizuo asked, panicked.

"She went to the north watch tower..." Kairi mumbled, turning around and heading back towards her bed.

"Thanks, Kairi..." Shizuo said as he went to walk away but stopped and looked back into Kairi's room, seeing her crawl up into a ball on her bed. "You missed breakfast, Kairi... is everything okay?" he asked.

Kairi gave him a nod of her head. "Everything's fine." She stated, but Shizuo wasn't convinced as he made his way into her room and sat on the edge of her bed.

"Is it the engagement?" Shizuo asked, receiving no response from her. With a small sigh, he nodded his head and looked towards her door. "I have to go and get your sister and bring her to training. If you want to meet us down in the training room, you're more than welcome. I can teach you some things too, if you want..." Shizuo offered. Kairi rolled over so she was looking at him with excited eyes.

"Really?" she asked, barely able to contain her excitement.

Nodding his head, he ruffled Kairi's hair before standing up and making his way towards the door. "It's up to you if you come or not, you're always more than welcome." He explained before swiftly leaving the room in order to head towards the north tower.

With a bright smile on her face, Kairi got out of bed and stretched before rifling through her draws for appropriate clothes to wear during training.

The frightened look on Prompto's face was making it difficult for you to concentrate as all you wanted to do was laugh, but you knew that the first laugh you let rack through your body would throw you off completely.
