"IF IMPROV CAN PERFORM THEN SO CAN WE," Xavier complained as the five individuals from the improv class prepared themselves at the front of the church.
"Stop whining and eat your damn cake," Kyla scoffed, making Xavier let out a fake sob.
Charlotte chuckled, "Maybe we can have a dance party back at the house,"
Xavier's eyes opened, "Actually?"
Charlotte nodded, "If I'm still awake by then."
"Was the pie good?" Clark asked, making Charlotte look over at him. Charlotte nodded, "I mean, I thought it was weird at first but it tastes pretty good."
"Want mine?" Clark questioned, sliding his plate of the untouched pie over to her.
She looked at him, "You're not eating it? I thought you wanted pie."
Clark shook his head, "I know you like to eat more than one quantity of something so I thought getting two was better. Plus I'm full."
Charlotte grinned and grabbed her fork, "You know me so well, Clark,"
Clark smirked, "Well, I am Clark."
Charlotte snorted, digging her fork into the pie, "You gotta stop saying that, it doesn't make any sense."
Clark chuckled, "Yeah whatever, you know I'm the best."
Charlotte shrugged with a teasing smirk, "Maybe."
The lights turned off and a spotlight was on the five. Jason leaned toward Clark and Charlotte, "They're probably going to suck."
Charlotte couldn't help but snort, "Hey, don't be mean. I hear they've been practicing."
"Yeah," Clark muttered, "Practicing sucking." Charlotte slapped Clark's arm, making him grin.
"We are going to put on a play for you right now that's never been done before. Can I have a situation from the audience, please?" Bean asked, an excited look on her face.
"Uh, Thanksgiving dinner." Clark called out.
"So imaginative, Clark." Gwen commented, making Clark's face drop into a blank one. Valerie and Miles noticed, which made them burst out laughing.
Charlotte glanced over at Clark and caught eyes with him. She simply tried to hide the growing smile on her face as he gave her a look.
People began to shout out different ideas, until a girl said 'field trip'. Bean nodded her head, "Field trip! We can do that!"
Charlotte watched with amusement as the play began. It was obviously representing themselves as the actors got off the bus and appeared in a new place. Suddenly, a witch appeared, making Charlotte raise an eyebrow.
"This is why I never joined improv," Valerie whispered, watching the play with a weird look as the one guy became a frog.
"Shut up and be nice." Kyla whispered back, making Valerie stick her tongue out at her.
"Val's right, I was always afraid of the improv kids," Xavier mumbled.
"Why would you be scared of them?" Miles chuckled, giving Xavier a weird look.
"Because they're fearless, so they'd kill me. I'm shy." Xavier muttered.
"Huh? You're shy—why the hell would they kill you?" Kyla rolled her eyes.
"I'll stop this witch!" A guy said once Bean asked if anyone was going to stop the witch.
Charlotte was busy grinning at her two best friends as they got into a mini argument about improv kids. But, her grin faded instantly when she heard the question.
