Angel's POV
"So being a leader doesn't mean ya have to be someone like Eric" Eric looked and scowled at the woman in front of me. "You could be like Four, strict but a little gentler on the initiates, but I'd suggest being strict and you know actually helping them at any chance they need. That's what I do when I train the Dauntless-borns, or when I have to do the simulator." She told me.
"I'd like to be strict with initiates but not strict with anyone else. There's not a point in that, you lose people then." I said to her.
"Wise. I like that, but remember you have to step up your game. Meaning now you have to do some paperwork like the rest of us, but not much. It's literally just revision of the reports given by the guards." She passed me about six papers.
"Well that's not too bad. It's something I'm able to do quickly and be able to hang with people still" I said to her.
"I swear you are made to be a leader, that was my thoughts too when I started" she laughed quietly.
"So how's this work? I'm just gonna have the title and brood around until next years initiates come?" I asked Tori.
"Well yeah basically" I nodded.
"Free to go see my friends? I have a date tonight" I asked slash told her.
"And who is this?" She asked me, slightly intrigued.
"Peter" Her eyebrows raised.
"Didn't he try to push you off the chasm?" She pointed out.
"Uh well I found out why, and it wasn't his fault really. It was more his friends encouragement and pressure. Anyways, we somehow liked each other back in our old faction and didn't really tell each other until a few nights back. We gave our friends quite the show and basically he's taking me out tonight" I told her.
"Well you might be a new power couple" She smirked at me. "Tell me what happens. I want to know what goes on between the leaders and trainers" She told me before getting up, and so did I so I could walk back to the apartment that me and the girls all bought.
"Hey girls I'm homeeee" I saw Chris and Tris both on the couch. Both of them future Trainers.
"What did Tori say?" Tris said immediately.
"She said that basically my job is to really look through the guard reports and otherwise it's basically until the initiates come again" I said.
"So we're all not doing much" Chris said.
"Yep." I said, popping the 'p'.
"Except her date" Tris said smirking.
"Yes very true" Chris got up, I was in so much trouble.
————————————————————————"So what do you think?" Tris said. I turned around slowly not expecting too much from my usual fancy clothes.
"Holy fuck I look hot" I was wearing my strap dress that had no zipper, it was layed and mesh at the top with plain black at the bottom. The layers turned with you and moved like you were moving in slow motion. My hands held at least a 9 inch wedged pair of boots.
"That's the whole point" Chris said as she started to gather up my hair which was going to be curled.
"Are you two planning to get me laid or...?" I didn't quite know how I was going to finish that question properly.
"Maybe" Tris simply said.
"I kind of hate the both of you and I kind of don't oh my god." I winced as Chris pulled a knot from my hair.
"Peter will have a heart attack just seeing you, you and then maybe he'll kiss you which will lead to more....but don't get pregnant please....we don't need kids right now" I almost choked on air as Chris spoke.
"Not fucking happening" I said to her.
"Dude have you seen yourself? Your like a sex bomb waiting to explode" Tris casually said.
"You two are both rediculous." Then the door opened, revealing Will and Al.
"Woah Angel you look good" Al said.
"See Angie you look good" Chris said.
"Also, can you hurry up....Peter is starting to look constipated from his nerves" Will said.
"How does that even- you know I'm not going to ask, but she is ready the second she puts her shoes on" I just slipped my shoes on and walked out with the boys.
"So where is he?" I asked them.
"Right there" Al pointed to our left, Peter was pacing back and forth and looked very attractive in a tight fitted shirt and black pants.
"Well then, I'll see you guys later" I said and walked him.
"Peter what are you doing?" He stopped pacing, turned around and gapped at me.
"Too much?" I looked down.
"No, it makes you look even more perfect than you already are" He putting his arm around my back.
"You sure about that Peter?" He nodded.
"You're cute, although I never really thought I'd see you in a tux" I brushed his arm that wasn't on my back as we walked towards the cafeteria, it was late enough that no one was going to be there.
"No, I had to shop for one, didn't own one in Candor and didn't own one until yesterday" Peter laughed, "I hoped it would be okay, considering I've never really shopped for myself before".
"Well it looks lovely, you did well on your own" I laughed at the contoursion in Peter's face, slightly offended.
"Was that meant to be mean Angel?" He pouted.
"Not as much as it did when I beat ya in our first fight" I reached to hold his hand.
"Well now you're a leader and I'm a trainer so we both get to kick other people's asses" I laughed at his comment as we finally reached the cafeteria. Food was already set up and drinks were where we usually rushed for food during the day.
"I don't think just because we're higher up now we can just fight everyone Peter. I think we actually need to show them what we learnt just as much as the last leaders and trainers did. Then we can kick ass if they go against us." I said, going between being violent and actually doing my job.
"Well I mean you're right, but I seriously wanna kick some ass next year. Especially if they come from Candor though" he pointed at me.
"Well I say if we get an Abnegation, we be real tough on them. Tris made it through so it's not that bad. " I shrugged off the idea.
"I like that thought, you know that if people we know come through to Dauntless we do have to be just as hard on them as any other transfer, no soft spots" Peter threw out a good point.
"Yeah there are some people that I hope come but I can't have a soft spot for" I said to him.
"Your brother?" he asked, assuming that's who I meant.
"Yeah, assuming he's hopefully still alive" I looked down, I didn't want to cry in front of Peter.
"Hey I'm sure he is, and his aptitude test probably will show Dauntless after dealing with your dead beat father and mother" Peter said trying to comfort me.
"Yeah but the thought of him still being there is sickening Peter. I wish I could get him earlier just so I could save him" I shook of the feeling of crying.
"Hey, he'll be here next year. Right next to you, and me and all our friends. He won't be in contact with your parents, like you aren't anymore. Yeah?" he said to me very sweetly, grabbing my hand across the table that we had decided to take up.
"You're right, let's just enjoy tonight I think" I smiled softly. Peter was smiling back at me confidently.
"I think we can definitely do that" he raised his glass of wine, and so did I. We clicked our glasses and it became the start of one of the best nights of my life.
