"Please Jug...live a little!" Kevin practically whines , his voice barely being heard above the teachers dull lesson about the Romans.
"For the last time Kev, do I look like someone who likes surprises?" Jughead scoffs, laying his head down, trying to sleep after pulling an all nighter.
"Well no, but they're just your type! I mean if I were you I'd go." He smirks and then pulling on the raven headed boy's sleeve once more to make sure he doesn't pass out.
"If I say yes, will you let me sleep?" The sleepy boy groans while straightening his hat.
"Yes! Thank you Juggie!" Kevin practically yells happily, side hugging the sitting boy which makes Jughead smile a bit, probably just happy to be able to sleep now.
You see, Jughead was a loner, the outsider, and frankly he didn't mind. He preferred it that way, he stays out of everyone's way, they stay out of his. It's what's expected anyway. He didn't even start letting Kevin in til months ago and that was only because Kev wouldn't stop talking his ear off till he accepted the offer to become friends. So yeah, surprises weren't his thing.
In a distant math class far down the hall a certain redhead is learning about Pre-Calculus math and doodling absentmindedly on his worksheet. He's too busy not paying attention that he doesn't notice his jock best friend slide into the seat next to him.
"Andrews!" Reggie whisper yells to the red hue, slightly nudging his arm to bring him back to reality.
"Hm?" Archie hums back slightly, almost falling out of his chair.
"Oh boy have I got the proposition for you bro!" Reggie wolf whistled while patting Archie's back.
"Oh I'm so curious.." Archie said sarcastically with mock enthusiasm as he turned over his page and started doodling once more.
"Well, one of my friends needs to get out there more, they recently got out of a bad breakup, yada yada" Reggie begins, he had clearly been waiting all morning to speak to the scarlet haired boy. "Anyways, they wanted me to find them a blind date with one of the bulldogs and I immediately thought of you bro!" Reggie finished rasing his hand up like he's just solved a problem like the ones displayed on the board that the boys have clearly ignored.
"That's great Reg, but I don't really know if I'm in a dating mood right now." Archie explains to his friend outright.
"Cmon Andrews, you can't say no to this! They're smoking hot dude." Reggie states like it's a fact and even moving his hands to make a point to his ginger best friend.
"Look, I can't do it. I'm sorry, but maybe Chuck will" The boy responded, suddenly more spaced out and lost in his thoughts. On the opposite side of the school stereotypes we have Archibald Andrews, the dumb and lovable jock, he's the redhead that everyone either wants to be or wants to be with. Recently he's been missing in action on the love scene because of some unsure feelings.
"Andrews, really. Whatever's going on with you bro, this can fix it" Reggie almost pleaded. It was true though, going on a date with this mystery someone might help get his mind off a certain student down the hall.
"Fine...where am I meeting this special someone?" Archie sighed and rubbed his temples as the bell rang.
"The Bijou, be there at 7 man!" Reggie chuckled excitedly as the boys grabbed their book bags and headed out the door.
Lunch was boring per usual but today the red hue couldn't keep his eyes off the raven hue, sitting alone at his table writing and eating chips. Archie doesn't know much about the boy except that's he's friends with Kevin, the school's first ever student to come out and that he always seems to where this hat, pinned up on the sides to look like a crown. Archie desperately wants to walk over and talk to him, but that would look weird in front of his friends.
