Chapter 11. Flashbacks

"Aish, you'll meet him soon." Ji Eun said as he held up Kai's face.

"Aish~" Kai thought.

Kai sat down and had a sad look plastered on his face. Ji Eun noticed him and sat beside him.

"Yah, why are you sulking?" Ji Eun asked.

"I'm not sulking." Kai proudly said.

"Yes you are." Ji Eun said.

"No, I'm not." Kai said, once again.

"Yes... you are." Ji Eun said.

Kai held Ji Eun's hand and pulled her close to him. Their bodies were inches away from each other's and their faces were so close. Super close. Kai looked deep into Ji Eun's eyes. He then slowly close his eyes. But suddenly, something popped into his mind. It was his promise to Ji Eun to kiss her in their wedding. Kai immediately pushed her to the couch.

"Let's go." Kai said.

"Let's go where? I'm still wearing my shorts and a plain t-shirt!" Ji Eun demanded.

"Aish~ That's fine! You still look pretty even though you wear nothing~!" Kai joked.

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! What did you just said Kim Jong In?! Why, did you see me, huh?!" Ji Eun screamed.

"No, but I did. In my dreams." Kai smirked.

"Aish~! I hate you, you dark-skinned monster!" Ji Eun shouted as she walked to the car with Kai.

"The more you hate the more you love." Kai said.

Kai wore his cap, a cap and a nerdy eyeglasses. While Ji Eun, just her plain white t-shirt and her shorts, with her usual eyeglasses. They used that as a disguise since EXO and Ji Eun are now a hot topic because of her and Chanyeol.

"Yah, where are we going?" Ji Eun asked Kai.

"Secret." Kai said.

"What? Tell me." Ji Eun demanded.

"I'm going to let you have a make-over. Don't even hesitate." Kai said.

"What? Make-over? No way!" Ji Eun insisted.

"YES way. Ga ja. (Let's go.)" Kai said.

Ji Eun had nothing to do. They got stuck into traffic for quite some time. Ji Eun feel asleep beside Kai, which is the passenger's seat. Kai stared at her and he assesed her pretty face. 

"The long I am with this girl, the more I fall in love with her." Kai thought.

Kai turned on the radio. The playing music was SoYou's and Junggigo's "Some". Then, some flashbacks came back in Kai's mind.

*Flashback*

- Sistar's Party (Hyolyn, Bora, Dasom, SoYou all belong in one famous girl group. Sistar.)

"Yah! Hey! Aish, Kai. I need to go and rest, okay? So go on, good night. *laughs*" Hyolyn said.

"Aish, I want to spend more time with you, Jagiya. (Jagiya, somewhat like "baby" or "honey" for couples)" Kai said as he did his puppy eyes.

"It's a schoolday tomorrow, go home already. It's late." Hyolyn insisted.

"Hey you two! Stop being such two lovebirds, arasso? (,understand?)" Bora said.

"She's right! Hahahahahhahahaha!" Dasom and SoYou laughed.

"Go home now, arasso? We'll have all the time in the world tomorrow, I promise." Hyolyn said, smiling.

"Ara, ara. (I understand, I understand.) Good night Hyolyn, saranghae Jagiya~" Kai said as he kissed Hyolyn in the forehead.

Kai then went on. The next day... (flashback)

Kai and Hyolyn were holding hands in the hallway, but then Hyolyn let go of Kai hand.

"What's the problem jagiya? Why are you looking down?" Kai asked Hyolyn.

"Kai... I'm sorry..." Hyolyn said, crying.

"Why? What for? You know I'll still forgive you." Kai said, smiling naively.

"I'm going to America. To study there. Tonight's my flight..." Hyolyn said, crying.

Kai's teardrops fell. He was in shock of what he heard.

"What? Are you joking?" Kai said.

"No Kai, I wan't joking then and I am not joking now. I'm going to study there." Hyolyn seriously said.

"What? Why are you going? Aren't you happy with me? Hyolyn, please... Stay." Kai pleaded.

"I can't, I'm sorry Kai. I really am. I love you." Hyolyn said as she ran away from Kai.

"Why? Why?!" Kai shouted to the wind.

Then, it was the night of that day. That very sad day for Kai. That very day when Hyolyn will go to America. Kai was staring from the huge, beyond head-to-toe glass of their house before. He was staring at the cars passing by. He stared at the lights that flashed in different colors. Some orange, some red. He stood there and stared at everything, the usual busy street of Seoul. He stares at every car hoping Hyolyn is there. He stares up in the sky to see some airplanes, to see if Hyolyn has went away. But yes, his heart was broken. A lot.

 *Present time*

Kai felt some tears crept into his cheeks that fell from his eyes. He didn't noticed that Ji Eun was about to wake up. Ji Eun looked at Kai at asked...

"Yah, are you okay?" 

Kai hurriedly wiped the tears off his calm, yet sad face.

"Eung, (Yeah,) I'm okay." Kai answered, emotionless.

"Why are you crying? What hap--" Ji Eun got cut off when Kai suddenly screamed.

"Yah! Stop asking why I'm crying, okay?! You don't need to ask me why! Why?! I am old enough to handle myself! Leave me alone! Leave me like this! I don't need you! The reason why I'm just marrying you is just to save---" Kai's blabbering got cut off.

"Our business?" Ji Eun said as she furrowed her eyebrows. "Yes, the reason why I was also pushed to this wedding is because of this. Don't worry, I don't like to get married to you too!" Ji Eun shouted back.

"No, I'm sorry that's not what I---" Kai got cut off again.

"Ah, another thing, if you're not enjoying every moment in your life since we met and got into this situation, don't worry. The feeling's mutual. I hate this, too. I don't like this. You want me to leave you, right? Fine. Good bye, see you. Tell them you want to break this engagement. I'm fine working under my father's business." Ji Eun said as she opened the car door and went out.

It was raining. Ji Eun went out of the car and walked away. Kai wanted to go and run after her but the car behind him started beeping his horn out loud that tells him to go and move. Kai had no options, he drove and stopped in the side. He looked at his contacts and called Ji Eun. But she wasn't answering. Kai was worrying sick of her. 

"You are so stupid Kai! What the heck did you do? Huh? You love her already and you know she's feeling the same way! What did you do? You lost Hyolyn before and now you're losing Ji Eun?!" Kai thought.

Kai later then drove to Ji Eun's house just to see if she was already there. But when he got there, she wasn't there. He opened the door and entered the big, spacious house. But totally feels incomplete and silent. Meanwhile, Ji Eun, walked and walked. She didn't mind getting wet in the rain.
