Her heart seemingly wanted to combust, the fight downstairs had only gotten louder as the clock ticked by. Maybe if she died right there it would stop. The female's throat tightened as the house seemed quiet now, something that only occurred when father went to drink. Slipping out of her room, and trudging down the stairs. The main area was trashed with shattered glass and empty beer bottles.
" would you look at that" a female in her early 40's puffed on a cigarette, " the little shit is out of her room."
The woman paused, flicking her cigarette over the ashtray, " get me my wine bottle."
It was silent, the younger female stared off into the blinded window as silhouettes of birds flew past, she couldn't help but feel jealousy. They were so free, allowed to go anywhere, simple life, and no worries.
" ___!" The woman barked, throwing a empty bottle in teen's direction, " get your head out of the fucking clouds and get me my wine! You mistake of a child!"
Breaking out of her trance '___' skittered out of the way before the bottle landed on her, smashing into the floor. Glass glided its way passed her feet, cutting at the fabric of her shoes. The teen hummed out a small 'yes mother' and found their way into the kitchen. Grabbing the wine bottle she made her way back to her mother, placing the drink on the small table beside her.
Taking her mother's silence, ___ left the scene. Grabbing her school backpack before heading back into her room.
Once in the safety of her room, ___ dumped everything out of her backpack. Stuffing supplies into the bag: rope, water bottles, pocket knife, and stale snacks. Tears trailed down her cheeks kissing her chin before dropping down to the floor. ___ mumbled words to quiet to understand, her voice only raised louder as she wanted to scream and rip out her own hair.
___ collapsed on her bed. She could take it anymore, she needed an escape. A way out of her miserable little life. Her classmates taunt giving her an idea. Suicide.
It seemed like the best option, the only option.
A mountain range sat outside her window, giving her small ideas of how to die. It was named MT. Ebott. Small children rhymes, and songs of monsters, on how you'll never come back. 8 children went missing, reporters say they fell to their death in the gaping hole that had planted itself in a large cave in the middle. Nodding in small satisfaction, ___ sat up. Zipping her backpack close and retrieving a rope made of sheets from under her bed.
Unlacing the window lock, and sliding the glass up ___ threw down half of the rope, tying the other end to her bed. Making sure the knot was tied tightly, the female threw down her stuff and started to slide out her window. Climbing down the slide of the house, and dropping once a few feet in the air. She strapped her backpack on and made a dash for the mountain, Laughing once she was far enough. She never felt so relieved being away from what she was familiar with.
No more school
No more bullies
No more bickering of parents
No more abuse
___ thought for a second, wondering is this what she really wanted. To end it all. Voices screamed at her ' of course ' this is what she wanted!
The female stifled a sob, knowing full blow that they were right. ___ continued on her journey, her mind troubled.
It wasn't until then ___ realized how big the mountain was, it loomed before her, clouds swirled around the point and the trees stemming stopped climbing up the mountain about halfway. ___ let out a sigh and slung the backpack off her back, and sat down on the ground. It would take her hours to climb up and maybe a few more trying to find the cave.
The female's eyes wandered around the terrain, letting out a sigh of relief as she spotted a small trail that led up the mountain. ___ was relieved about the small trail, with the possibility of it leading her to the cave . Standing up ___ cracked her back before picking up her bag, She then started off on the trail.
⬖ hello, and I hope you're enjoying the story so far '・ᴗ・' if anything seems a bit rush it due to wanting to finish the chapter to move on to the more 'thrilling' stuff of the story. This is also my first time writing in third person, I definitely need some work but I feel like I came a long ways from when I first started writing ( ੭⌯᷄௰⌯᷅ ू'l|) well I'm all arms to any criticism! Please don't hold it in, I need to fix my mistakes.
But I'll see you my lovely bunny bugs ( ᵕ́ૢ‧̮ᵕ̀ૢ)‧̊·* bye ⬖
