Chapter 38

Danielle's POV

I woke up at 8am to the sound of my alarm, I had a killer headache from the night before. Too much went on and I don't wanna go back to that night ever again.

Once I had toke a shower, got dressed and did my hair and make up, I went downstairs to find Elizabeth cooking pancakes and Skylynn helping her.

"Danielle!" Skylynn squealed.

She hoped of the kitchen counter and engulfed me into a teddy bear hug. She grabbed my arm and pulled me down so I was her level.

"Are you gonna tell my mom that your leaving?" she whispered into my ear.

"Yeah, do you think you could give me and your mom a minute please?" I whispered back.

She nodded and ran into the living room.

"Elizabeth.." I started but she cut me off.

"Sorry too interrupt you Danny but can I just say one thing?" she asked while placing the freshly cooked pancakes onto a plate.

"Erm sure, ok" I muttered.

"You know, since the day I met you, I've felt like we've always had this connection between us, like mother, daughter connection and it's like you have brought my family together and I couldn't be more thankful, thank you!" she engulfed me into a huge hug and didn't let go until someone cleared there throat.

Maybe it's a bad idea, maybe I should stay, this family are the closest I have too actual family besides my sister who i see on and off every week.

I turned around and saw Hayes. I rolled my eyes and walked into the living room to see Skylynn playing with Will.

"How did it go?" she asked me.

Wow. She really acts like a grown up at times. I love her like my own sister. seriously.

"I can't leave just yet Skylynn, maybe in a couple of months, maybe just after Christmas, just not now" i sighed.

Will walked over to me and sat on my lap. "Don't stay just because my mom toke you into one of her chats, leave because you want to and it's something you want to do, you know I'm not saying this because I want you too go, I'm saying it because my mom can be a handful at times, it toke me a month to leave this house, every time she would chat to me about how she didn't want to see me leave just yet, but times are tough, and she needs to see that if you want to go you should go" he said.

Wow.

"Yeah but for my own sake, I need time to actually find somewhere first, I've done things too quick" I muttered.

"Come live with me" he quickly said.

"Not like that, I have a girlfriend but because you have no where to go, I live down the road from here, it would be absolutely fine!" he smiled at me.

My face returned back to normal.

"When are you leaving to go back to yours?" I asked.

"Later today"

"Lemme think about it, ok"

He nodded and walked back over to Skylynn.

Maybe it would be alright for me to live with Will, but what-

"Stop questioning yourself" I think I said out loud because Will and Skylynn looked at me funny.

"Sorry it slipped out" I snickered.

I stood up and walked the staircase. I sat down and rested my head against the wall.

"What do I do?" I whispered to myself so only I could hear.

Hayes' POV

I woke up and headed downstairs to see my mom and Danielle hugging, I cleared my throat, which made Danielle roll her eyes. I feel really bad after what happened but what can I say, I don't want her to get killed I love her too much.

As I smiled at her she walked out and into the living room. I sat myself on top of the counter and swayed my legs back and forth.

"Hayes sweetie can you set the table?" my mom asked me.

"Yeah"

The whole time I'm setting up the table my mind is set on one thing and one thing only.

Danielle.

I mean I know what I said to her was harsh but she could of forgiven me, I didn't mean it.

Suddenly I fell to the ground, I don't know what happened. I think too much.

"HAYES ARE YOU OKAY?" I hear a voice say before everything goes blurry.

"Mom?"

"Yes sweetie I'm here"

"Where am i?"

"Were at the hospital, you passed out" she said while stroking my dry hands.

"Oh, will I be ok?" I asked.

She nodded with a smile on her face, I smiled back in return.

"Where's Danielle?" I said after a long moment of silence.

"She went to the cafeteria to fetch me and your brothers some water!" she pointed to Nash and Will in the corner.

I heard the hospital door open and there stood Danielle and Skylynn.

"HAYESSSS!" Skylynn yelled while running over to me. "Your awake!" she hugged me tightly.

I looked over Sky's shoulder to see Danny passing everyone a bottle of water, she looked like she hadn't slept in days. Her eyes were bloodshot and she had tear stains on her cheeks.

She was wearing a pair of spandex and my magcon hoodie.

"You are all acting as if I've been gone ages" I laughed.

"It's been a week" my mom whispered.

"What?"

"You were in a coma, they think you might be suffering with depression" my mom said lightly.

I looked up at Danielle and saw her sitting on Nash's lap cuddling close, I wish that was me.

"You can't be serious?" I laughed a little hoping she was just lying.

"Deadly, sweetie maybe you should get some rest"

"No I don't need rest what I need is too go home" I yelled.

"Hayes please calm down" my mom begged.

The doctor came walking in because he obviously heard me shouting.

"Oh hayes your awake! lovely to meet you with you actually being awake" he laughed at his little joke. Sadly, he was the only one who laughed causing his cheeks to light up red.

"Anyway, I have the results back from the most recent test we've done on Mr.Grier and it shows that everything's fine, your absolutely fine to leave" he smiled.

"We think the reason he was in this state was because he was overthinking things, it honestly doesn't explain why he was in a coma but his fine and ready to go!" he said making my mother smile.

"Ok thank you" I replied.

"Anytime" the doctor unhooked me of the machine and made his way out of the room.

"His a change of clothes for you hayes, go get changed" my mom said while handing me the clothes.

"Thank you" I toke the clothes and headed to the nearest bathroom, I'm so glad I'm out of that hell of a hospital room.

Then I started thinking, what was I overthinking about? could it be about Sienna? or maybe even Danielle?

Maybe it's because I don't know whether to tell the police about what Sienna was doing?

My mind had gone through enough for today and I don't wanna be laying back in that hospital bed. I need to put my head together and tell Danielle how I really feel.
