Okay, so I know there's some people who don't exactly enjoy reading. I'm close with one or two and I'm not naming names. But because of that I'm going to link a video from Youtube that doesn't consist of words but just listening.

So if you aren't into READING

Just leave here and watch the video (posted below)

The rake is a supposed Urban legend that orginated from New York, USA.

It is a humanoid creature that stands about 6 feet tall, but is usually seen crawling along the ground in a disfigured way.

There's numerous different ways this creature is explained, but I'm going to share with you the story that I believe to be the most true.

The Rake, is said to be that the creature is a conduit that has been mutated from Slenderman magic. It is described as an ominous creature with grey pastey skin, dark eyes that reflect so much light they appear to be glowing, usually resembling a large, dis-formed, hairless dog.

When this creature is spotted, originally in urban areas, it will just sit there and stare at the person who spotted it.

If 'The Rake' is provoked, approached, taunted, or threatened it opens it's mouth and widens it's eyes appearing more viscious and inducing fear by seeing through you.

Known for stalking the people that spotted them, giving nightmares to it's finder, and eventually slautering their victim.

The nightmares for the unlucky finder(s) are all the same. The creature sitting on the edge of their victim's bed, staring, and observing them closely. Nightmares are 'The Rake's' method of riling up their victims, feeding off their fear to feed their sanity before killing the victim.

The very few victims that have survived an encounter with 'The Rake' either wind up dead through suicide or in an insane asylum.

In most cases of survivors they're identical. Here's a few cases that have been discovered:

1. A Mariner's log: Year 1691

"It came to me in my sleep, from the foot of my bed a sensation could be felt. He took every bit of my sanity. We must return to England at the request of 'The Rake."

2. A Journal Entry: Year 1880

"I have experienced the greatest terror! I see his eyes when I close mine. They are hollow. Black, they saw and pictured me. His cold, wet hand. I will not sleep."

3. A Suicide Note: Year 1964

"As I prepare to take my own life. I feel it's needed to satisfy any guilt and pain I have introduced through this act. It is no one's fault but none other than his. Once I awoke from his presence. The next I awoke to his eyes and eerie voice. I cannot sleep without the fear of what I'll awake to next, I can't ever awaken again. Goodbye."

It is said this letter was found in a box along with 2 other letters addressed to someone (Not naming names for the privacy of anyone who is still alive) and a loose personal letter with no envelope.

4. Dearest Linnie: Year 2006

"I have prayed for you."

Linnie and her husband awoke to the presence of 'The Rake' at the foot of their bed. It then scurries over to her husband's side of the bed before retreating and heading to their child's room, where it attackes their daughter. It flees as the two of them approach their child's room and the daughter's last words, and I quote: "He is The Rake."
