"Momo stop."
"NO, I WON'T STOP. THAT WASN'T FAIR." Momo yelled, causing the few pedestrians that were still out at this time of night and in this horrible rainy weather to stare.
"I didn't even take that long Mo." Dahyun reasoned, holding her hands out in front of her to distance herself slightly from her raging girlfriend. "I was just held up in traffic."
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT?" Momo's face was scary. Her brows furrowed and her nose scrunched up, fuming in anger. "You had me waiting in there for an HOUR. ONE. HOUR."
Dahyun flinched at her words. She glanced around her at the few people who had decided to give the couple a wide radius for their fight. She was so embarrassed and so guilty.
"THEY KICKED ME OUT BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT I WAS GONNA STEAL PEOPLES STUFF BECAUSE I WAS JUST SITTING AROUND LIKE A LOONY WAITING FOR YOU!"
Dahyun kind of wanted to laugh when she said that. It was true. Momo had been kicked out before Dahyun had even arrived and parked her car. She guessed it might have been due to Momo's choice of clothing that day. A leather jacket and ripped cargo pants. She looked extremely hot, but also extremely sketchy. Not to mention Momo's strange habit of looking around at all times as if checking if someone was watching her due to her hyperactive tendencies. Dahyun was used to it, but others weren't. She probably looked like a bikie waiting for her gang to come shoot someone up while Dahyun was on her way.
"Momo, I'm sorry ok?" Dahyun tried again, attempting to approach her and envelop her in an embrace. Momo was having none of it and she jumped away, onto the road and into the rain.
"No. You're not. You can't just leave me waiting. I DON'T DESERVE TO WAIT FOR AN HOUR, ONLY TO BE KICKED OUT." She stamped her foot on the pavement. Her hair was getting drenched.
Dahyun followed her out into the rain, the water cold and icy against her skin.
"I know you don't deserve it Momo. It was just a mistake. Traffic. I should have left earlier. I know."
"YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU'RE ALWAYS MAKING EXCUSES LIKE THIS." Momo complained, pointing a finger accusingly.
"Momo lets go undercover; you're going to catch a –"
"What about that time you forgot our anniversary and instead went out with Sana? 'Oh, Sorry Momo!'" She mocked Dahyun crudely lowering her voice slightly and pulling a face. "'I forgot! It's an honest mistake!' Honest mistake my ASS."
Dahyun cringed. She really had forgotten their three-month anniversary. But she had apologised over and over again and had taken Momo out for a month to spoil her. She didn't think that it was such a big deal, but Momo did.
"I'm sorry." She said for the last time, taking Momo's hand in hers, her fingers cold and wet from the pouring rain. "It isn't right for me to leave you to wait for me, nor for me to forget any important dates." Momo sighed, finally giving in.
"Yeah it isn't." She muttered. "You better make it up to me."
Dahyun smiled at her and pulled her close, the warmth of their bodies together masking the cool wetness of the rain. She pressed their lips together. When they pulled away again, Momo looked to the road and giggled slightly.
"I overreacted a bit, didn't I?"
Dahyun just rolled her eyes, joining in with her own laughter.
"Let's go home and get dry you idiot."
They held hands the entire way home.
