Chapter 1: Kiss Me, Kiss Me

Maddi's POV

"Luke, babe, what are you doing?" We were on his tour bus, and he was hanging upside down from his bed. "I'm on Twitter, Mads." "Your face looks like you were playing soccer in 100 degree weather. Get up." Luke sat up in his bed. "The lads are coming soon." "Where are they?" "It's a surprise." I was growing suspicious.

15 Minutes Later

The door of the tour bus opened. "We're back," I heard Ashton say. "and we have something for you, Maddi." "What?" Ashton reached into his pocket and pulled out two concert tickets and two V.I.P tickets to their upcoming concert. "Oh my god!! Thanks guys!" I hugged all of them. "And..." Calum gave me a passion tea from Starbucks. I smiled. "You boys know me so well." "Hey Mads." I turned around and saw Luke standing behind me. "Forget about someone?" He said. "Um, boys, can Luke and I be alone for a bit?" They all said "Sure" and left the tour bus. "Mads, we haven't done anything together in the past month. What's going on?" "Um...." I looked down. "Madeline Isabel Smith." He put his hand beneath my chin so I was staring into his eyes. "Tell me what's wrong." My heart was in my throat. "I-I, I want you to-" I gulped. "What, love?" I spit it out. "I want you to kiss me."

Luke's POV

"I-I, I want you to-" "What, love?" "I want you to kiss me." I hesitated, and thought about it. Maddi and I have been together for three years and have never kissed. I thought about it more, and realized I want her to kiss me too.
"Maddi, I want-" Before I could say "to kiss you too", Maddi was crying. "Babe, what's wrong now?" "It's just that, I want one of those relationships where we kiss a lot, and, we've never kissed. I mean, people keep on asking me, 'Are you and Luke still together?' I don't want to break up with you, but I want to kiss you." I held her in a hug. "Maddi, I'll kiss you." I leaned in for a kiss, but my phone rang. "Hello?" It was Calum. "We need you now." "Why? Is Ashton going crazy again?" "No, he was but now he's not. He's having trouble breathing. Come quick. We'll call 911 but come quick." "Ok, I'll be right there. Okay. Yeah. Bye." "Bye." "Who was that?" Maddi said with sniffles. "Calum. Look, I can't do that kiss right now because we have an emergency. Ashton's having trouble breathing so I have to go." "Asht-" "I have to go, babe." "Bye." "Bye."
I love Maddi, but one of my best friends needed help. It was a no-brainer. We had to help him.

Calum's POV

"Ashton, calm down." "I can't. I miss Lexi. She was my all." "Forget about her. Face reality." "I am, and reality sucks!!" "Ashton, seriously. Lexi is not with you anymore. Get over it." Michael said. We were at Starbucks, and we were talking. Michael and I ignored Ash, and talked. It had been 15 minutes, and Ashton wasn't talking. "Ashton, you can talk now." Mike said. I looked at Ash, and he was was holding his throat, making wheezing noises. "Oh my god, Mike, Ash is having trouble breathing!" "Call Luke. I'll call 911." I called Luke. After I talked to him, I told Mike, "He's coming." "Good. 'Cause emergency's coming. In fact, they're here." "Good."
