Arabella POV:

The alarm on my bedside table went off. I groaned and rose up into a sitting position. I then remembered..... the orphanage. I sighed and got up. I put on a white hoodie and black jeans with chains on the belt area. I put on black boots, which were my lucky boots. That's why I didn't wear them that much. I grabbed my backpack and then heard a knock on the door. I sighed and walked downstairs.

I opened the front door and not to my surprise, the police was there. "Good morning, ready to go?" the police man asked. "I guess" I said shrugging. "Come on Scar!" I yelled. "I'm sorry, but you're not allowed to bring animals there" the man said. I grabbed the officer from the collar and brought him to face me. "Listen here, Scar is my best and most loyal friend here. I will bring him or I won't go at all. Is that clear?" I asked in a low and creepy tone. "Y-yes" the officer stuttered. "Good" I said pushing him back and leaving the house, closing the door behind me.

I went and sat in the car and Scar came beside me. The officer sat in the front and we drove off to an awful destination.

*25 minutes later*

The car stopped in front of a tall, grey building. There were black letters on the front of the building above the door, spelling out 'Greyfield orphanage'. I put up my hood and opened the door. I banged the door closed once I was out. I stepped towards the building, the officer behind me. The officer knocked on the door. I heard moving and whispers inside. The door opened, revealing an older woman, about 60-70. She had short brown hair, like old people do and green warm eyes. She was wearing a red knitted sweater and a black skirt along with black tights and some house slippers. "Hello, you must be Arabella. Am I correct?" the lady asked. "Yes" I replied. "and who's this little cutie?" the lady asked looking at Scar. "That's Scar, my dog" I said. "Oh well welcome. You will be very happy here" the lady said leading me inside the house. I heard her talk to the officer real quick: "Thank you for bringing her here. I will make sure that she's happy here" I heard her say and close the door.

In front of me was a bunch of children age 6-15, I think. "Children, meet Arabella. She has suffered a lot and we need to make her feel welcome. Amy, go get dinner organized, will you?" the lady asked a girl with long brown hair. She nodded. "Dinner already? It's only 8:30 in the morning" I asked surprised. "Well today is a special dinner, so we have to prepare early" the lady said. "Please don't make this such a big of a deal because of me" I said. "Oh no no no, I insist" the lady said. "You'll be happy here" she said smiling. "Now, let me introduce you to the house and after I'll introduce the children to you" she said. "How old are you dear?" she asked. "16" I said. "Oh, well then you don't have to be here for that long" the lady said. "Now come, I'll show you your room" she said leading me upstairs.

The house itself was beautiful. More beautiful than the inside. I walked upstairs after the lady, along the red carpet that covered the stairs with Scar behind me. I was amazed. Maybe this place isn't so bad?

We went to a door and the lady opened it with a key. "There you go. I will also give you this key in case you need privacy or alone time" she said handing me the key. The key was golden, but a bit rusty. I looked in the room and to my surprise it was a very nice room. Hell it was even bigger than my current room back home. The room had grey walls. a king sized bed with white sheets and decorative pillows, it had grey curtains, a couch in the corner of the room, a desk with a chair and a closet. It also had a door, leading to the bathroom. The bathroom was also nice with its white tiles on the walls and a white soft rug. I was honestly amazed.

"Wow" I mumbled. "Isn't it nice?" she asked. "Indeed" I replied. "Alright, you settle in and I'll go get breakfast ready. You are welcome to join us" she said. "Wait, what can I call you?" I asked her. "You can call me ms Sherly" she said. I smiled and nodded as she left. "Maybe this palce isn't that bad. What do you think?" I asked Scar who had already laid down in my bed. I laughed a bit.

I went and closed the door. I looked out the window and saw kids playing in the yard. Not with their phones, but with a ball. They seemed happy. I smiled. But my smiled faded as I looked over to the road and on the side of the road was Laughing Jack.....just standing there. I now remembered my duty. But at the same time I thought about what Laughing Jack does. He becomes children's imaginary friend and eventually kills them. I suddenly had a new duty besides getting rid of those pastas.

I have to protect these kids.

I saw Laughing Jack look up at me and wave his fingers at me smiling. I backed away from the window and thought of something. Shit. Now he knows where I'm at so he'll probably tell the others. Although, he might not know who I am. I was relieved over that thought.

I tore the door open and ran downstairs, looking for the kitchen. I eventually found it and ran to ms Sherly. "Ms Sherly! We have to talk, now!" I yelled. "Whoa dear. What happened?" she asked calmly putting her hand on my shoulder. "Please come with me. It's urgent" I said. "Alright. Barbara, continue breakfast please" she said to a blonde girl, sitting and chatting with a little boy. "Of course ms Sherly" she said and continued making breakfast as I lead ms Sherly up to my room.

I looked out the window, but Laughing Jack was gone. And I wasn't surprised. Ms Sherly sat down on the bed and looked at me worried. I sat beside her. "Please don't hate me after what I'm about to tell you" I said. "Oh dear, of course not. What is it?" she asked softly. I took a deep breath. "Do the names Jeffrey and Liu Woods ring you any bells?" I asked. "Are those the creepypastas?" she asked. "Yes" I replied. "Well then yes, I've heard of them. What is it about them? Are you scared of them?" she asked. "Not only that. Please don't tell this to the children. I don't want them to be scared" I asked. "Of course" ms Sherly agreed. I inhaled deeply. "Jeffrey and Liu are..... my...... brothers" I said.

The look on ms Sherly's face was horrified.
