I got in the bus and sat next to a girl of about my age 17. Being social self, I started a small conversation with her. She told me her name. Rosey, and she had also written her final exams.

She was oddly dressed. Well, just her blue sweater shirt that resembled my cousin's. Besides that, she was very cute. Light skinned, medium sized hair and smooth skin but her face seemed annoyed.

Then Rosey suddenly begun to criticize my looks. Well, mostly because I would not keep quiet. She judged my shaggy short hair, bumpy face and my weird looking uniform. Well, at least that's what she called it. With that, she shut me up and spoiled my mood.

Although my mother was quite the blast at fixing my mood when I got home, she told me I would be visiting my cousin in three months. I was overjoyed for  I would be meeting Oscar again.

When I finally got to Oscar's home, he sarcastically mocked me my Afro hair and kindly asked me to braid it and I did. Dressed in black and blue sneakers, black jeans and a black collar shirt, I put on Oscar's jersey. He was taking me for ice cream.

We got the ice cream and sat down on a bench at the park. While there, we gossiped about people on how they were dressed. Oscar was a master at it as if he had been dressed any better. Then I heard a familiar voice from behind me.

"Really, Oscar?" You spend time with another girl like that? And you  had the guts to give her the sweater shirt that was supposed to come to me? Is that why you took it? She said, fumed but Oscar simply took a glance at her.

"You don't understand don't you?" Oscar asked intimidatingly. That was ouch for her. I turned to find Rosey standing there. She seemed to be recovering from chicken pox. The sight wasn't as beautiful as I remembered. Her hair was now short and way shaggier than mine.

She's my cousin, precious Oscar said.
Well, I'd changed for starters, I braided my hair and smoothened my skin. Only I was a bit darker. I waved and asked if she remembered me.

Her jaw simply dropped and eyes pooped out she couldn't say a word.
