Chapter Four

After finishing our icecreams, we got up to leave, having become friends again.

Wait what are we? Are we friends… or like boyfriend and girlfriend… or  just really good friends?

I started walking and looked around and realized that Hayes was nowhere to be seen. I looked around and saw someone on the swings at the playground that is inside the park. I ran over and it was him.

“How’d you get over here so fast?” I questioned.

“Promise you won't tell” he smirked.

“Pinky swear!” I teased.

He leaned in and whispered in my ear, “Imma NINJA!” yelling the word ‘ninja’ in my ear.

“SAMEEE! I AM TOO! Haha I work for the CSI, and I'm hunting down terrorists. But you can't tell anyone either, k? K!” I joked.

“Too bad I have a video camera right here” he said pointing to his freckle that was on his forehead. “And I'm going to share this video with everyone I know!”

“AHH! MY IDENTITY HAS BEEN COMPROMISED!!” I shouted then started to laugh because I noticed that there were people staring at us.

“Since your a ninja, and I'm a ninja lets have a ninja race! First one back to my house gets to pick out the movie!” he challenged.

“Well Im  obviously-” I started before I dashed away getting a head start.

“HEY THATS NOT FAIR! Willow!” he shouted.

I stopped so he could catch up to me. He zipped right past me without stopping!

“I waited for you Hayes! Come BACK!!!” I screamed, but he just turned around and laughed at me continuing to run.

When I finally got to his house, 15 minutes later because I decided to walk, the front door was wide open. I knocked on the door and came inside yelling “Hello? Hayes? It me, Willow!”

“DOWN HERE” I heard a voice coming from downstairs that belonged to him.

“I ran down the stair, “Okay what are we watching? Please don't be Transformers!” I said erupting in laughter.

“THAT WAS THIRD GRADE! SHUT UPPPPPP!” he said obviously embarrassed.

“Okay okay! WHat movie then?” I said finally calming down.

“Insidious 2” he said calmly as if no big deal.

“NOPE! I'M DONE! NOT WATCHING IT! GOOD BYE!” I said attempting to leave the room.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and pick me up bringing me back to the couch.

He set me down then whispered in my ear, “Don't worry. I'll protect you. Theres no need to fear.”

UGH HES SOOOOO ADORABLE!!

I finally agreed and he started the movie. I ended up falling asleep in his arms.

When I woke up I didn't say anything because Hayes and his brother, Nash, who was in the room, were talking.

“Yea I really do like her. She makes my day better whenever I see her. The littlest things she does, brightens my day.” Hayes spoke. Was he talking about me? Of course not! Why would someone talk about you like that?

“Well then you have to make her yours before shes gone.” Nash said.

“Yea I just need the right time to do. I want it to be special.” Hayes said.

I shifted a bit and pretended to just have woken up.

“Oh haha did I fall asleep? Wow. I'm such a clutz. Haha. Hey Nash” I said just trying to act normal.

“Hey Willow I'm just leaving but it was good seeing you! I haven't seen you in forever.” he replied.

¨Yea! It was nice getting to see to you again!¨ I replied as he was walking up the stairs.

I looked over at Hayes and he smiled. We should probably go do homework, but we’ve both been doing really good in school and I just wanted to say here and cuddle.

I hear this click next to me and I saw that Hayes took a selfie of us.

¨Ughhhhhh! Can I seeeeee it???¨ I demanded as he hid the screen from me ferociously typing on the keyboard.

¨Yea sure! Check twitter.¨ He said winking at me as my phone notification for twitter went off.

It was actually not a bad picture. I was on my phone cuddled into him, fitting perfectly together. He was looking at the camera making a cute grin. The caption read:
@HayesGrier: Hanging with @Willow You're the most perfect girl and I am sorry for the way I treated you before. I don't know why I did the things I did and I will never be able to make up for that. I want to try though.

¨Awe Hasy-Poo, its ok!¨ I told him regretting it after.

Did I really forgive him? Is it really ok? I don't know why I'm here even. Just a couple of months ago he was my WORST enemy.

¨No its not, I want to make things right.¨ He said looking down.

After he said that he looked me in the eyes. I got butterflies and then I realized that they weren't butterflies. They were sparks! Sparks were all in my right now! Filling up every inch of my body.

I saw him slowly leaning in.

He was leaning in to kiss me. Our lips touched and the sparks got bigger. Man the affect this boy has on me.

We slowly parted. He looked me in the eye and said, ¨Willow, will you go on a date with me?¨

I don't know what to say!! We were arch enemies not three weeks ago. So I acted out of instinct and let my heart decide.
