I was a foreign student from India. I lived on rent in a small but rich part of the Osaka Prefecture District in Japan. I was just done with my Summer Vacations and it was almost time to go back to school. It really didn't feel like a vacation since most of us have extra classes even during summer vacations. I went to sleep thinking of how much school systems are so competitive here.
I woke up the next day to start my 2nd year of school life in Japan. I dressed up and ate ramen as breakfast that I bought from the nearby 7/11. I locked my room and rushed to the school on my bike. I am a pretty shy and introverted person so I avoid talking to anybody unless they start a conversation first. I arrived pretty early at the school which was 10 mins away from my apartment. I thought since I came early I would sit in the classroom. After 20 mins my best friend Yamato arrived in the class and greeted me. "So are you ready for this new year?" he asked. "Yeah I guess" I answered. "Oh come on, its not that bad cheer up" he replied with a smile. Yamato was a pretty average student like me but we were best friends. We kept on talking until 9AM until everyone came to the classroom. Our Teacher for the new semester Park Jinyoung came in the classroom with a girl. Park Jinyoung was a very successful entrepreneur in Korea back in the days and was very respected. We all stood up and bowed to him. "Welcome back everyone, are you ready to start your new year?" he asked. "Haii" we all answered and took our seats. "Everyone pay attention we have a new student for this year, her name is Minatozaki Sana" he said. "Hi i'm Sana, nice to meet you all I hope we can be good friends" she said. She looked really cute and friendly to me. Yamato then told me that she was a cheerleader in her previous school. "Oh, really wow" I replied. The Teacher started the lecture and the new girl seated behind me. She gave me a smile while walking towards her seat, I smiled back. I still couldn't get over the fact of how adorable she looked. We were done with the first lecture and Sana asked me if I was a foreign student, I replied "Yes, I'm from India, nice to meet you my name is Ashish". " Oh wow India, that's great" she answered with a big smile and giggle. I had never seen a girl with such an adorable smile I didn't knew what to say.
It was recess time and I went outside the classroom with Yamato. We were sitting next to a big tree just gazing at the clouds. Then I saw Sana with a couple of girls from our class in front of me talking to each other. "She's so cute" I said to Yamato. "Ikr" he said. They were talking about a Japanese show. "And the guy said he was 17" said one of the girls. "Ahahaha, So Cute *cute noises*" Sana replied. I started blushing hearing her adorable laugh. Yamato gave me nudge looking at me blush. We went back inside and it was gym period. Oh god how much I hate physical excerise and sports. We went first and then it was the girls turn. The girl who was with Sana in the recess went first, I guess they were friends. She was running the course and then I noticed Sana jumping up and down with excitement and giggling cheering for her. I was like, oh god she is so adorable. Then it was her turn then. She started laughing quietly before the start of the course. Then the course began and she started running. She kept giggling and making cute sounds throughout the course.
The day ended and went i went back to my apartment. I bought a subway sandwich on the way since I couldn't cook while getting back. The whole way I kept thinking about the new girl. I almost had started developing a crush on her. I entered the room and took a shower. Then I unpacked and ate the sandwich and went to do home work. After 2 hours I went to the bed and lied down. I was still thinking about her, "How can someone be so adorable and cute?" I asked to myself. I wanted to befriend her but I'm a very shy person so I didn't know what to do. Then I thought that I really like her so I should atleast talk to her tomorrow. I called my parents and told that the first day of the new year was good and i missed them. Then I went to sleep after the first day of my 2nd year in Japan.
