The Darkness took me...

Broken Family

                        I was a normal kid at First, till 3. Something happened, my dad...he left the house. My mom started to go to drugs and stuff like that and sometimes abused me. I was hiding most of my life then. When I first went to school at the age 5, I acted Happy. Like I was fine, but i wasn't fine. I was broken inside.Close friends saw the real me, and broke me out of my hard shell. They got me to tell everything. They told cops and parents about everything. By 6, I was with a new family I acted weird most of the time and coped with Depression and stuff like that. First Day of school I was fine, making friends, real laughs and smiles.                        

                          About 9 years into school when I was 15...

"Hey trouble!" I turn around to see Kayden Merlot, her and her friends laughing. I start unpacking my bag in my locker. I feel someone push me, I put my hands on the sides of the locker so I didn't go into the locker. I pushed them all away from me. 

"Hey Kat!" My friend Rudy Worker was walking over with her books locked in both arms. A side bag hanging from her neck and arm. She has long dyed light blue hair always in a bun or ponytail, today was bun. She is wearing a light gray jacket zipped,and ripped black and white skinny jeans. I smiled at her. I closed my locker and waited for her to get next to me. 

"Kat guess what happened to today!" Ruby said to me as we started walking to class.

"what?" I asked.

"A guy likes me!" Rudy said to me with a high pitched voice.

"Oh uh cool...let me guess it's Zane" I said, faking a smile. I knew Zane Mecartman(guy I liked for years) liked her so I felt a little hurt.

"Yep it's Zane, but i'm not into him. I like nerds not jocks." Rudy said with a straight face, I knew she was telling the truth, I smiled a little. I bumped into someone and glared at them to see who it was.

"Watch where you're going Dipshit!" I yelled at a tall nerdy guy. Rudy likes him like a friend and talks about him all the time. His name is Clark Adtide. He is a nice kid, we are into the same things. Like Anime, DND, Star Wars, Skillet, and more. 

"Oh uh s-sorry Kat I...uh." Clark looked away blush on his face. I sighed and walked to my class, gripping Rudy's arm.

"H-hey wait!" Clark ran over to us. I glared at him again and turned to look at him. 

"Listen up Clark, I don't like you! Your not my friend, your no one to me!" I yelled, Clark stopped. The hallway was so quiet you could hear a penny drop. Tears started to run off my face. I let go of Rudy's arm and ran off to the girls bathroom. I sat in the corner of the bathroom, my eyes closed. I grabbed my phone, texted my mom to asked if she could pick me up. Tears hitting my phone screen. 

"h-hey...are you ok? I looked up to see Rudy's sister. Her name is Ashley worked, but everyone calls her Ash. 

"Do I look ok." I said with a smile, my smile slowly faded after a second. 

"C-can I try to help" Ash sat down next to me. I smiled and nodded. The bell rang a minute later.

"We should get to class" I said getting up. Ash got up as well. We grab our stuff and walked out of the bathroom. We had the same class so we walked through the quiet hallway. We walked into class, everyone look at us. The teacher glared at us. We both sat down across from each other. 

"How about you tell the class why you're both so late, were you gossiping about boys in the bathroom or maybe even vaping in there." Mrs. Sarah Sin said glaring at me and Ashley. 

"No, I yelled at a guy that liked me and ran to the bathroom crying, then she came in to see if I was ok" I said with a mean smile. She got silent and sighed. Some of the kids laughed. I looked down in shame. Clark is in this class, I saw him frown fixing his glasses. Our eyes meet, Clark blushes. I look away from him, mumbling to myself. Blush hit my face for a split second, I shook my head to get him out of my head.  

Class began and I kept catching Clark looking at me. I glared at him every time he did.Finally he stopped.  When the bell rang I grabbed my stuff and walked out calmly.

"Hey Kat, can we talk?" I stopped and looked at who was talking, it was Clark. 

"Ugh... What?" I said with a sigh.

"I know you don't like me, but I...uh..." Clark glups and closes his eyes tightly. "I want you to meet me at the tree in the back of the school on friday this week!"

"Really?" I sigh "How do you even like me? I'm not even cute, i'm nothing great."

"K-kat! You are great, your smart, sweet, and so creative!" Clark said grabbing my hands, smiling. "I want you in my life, i'm not just the nerd everyone sees in the class and hallways. I smile a little, we both blush.

"Kat!" I heard Rudy yell and look over at her. Her hands are over her mouth, tears in her eyes. I pull away from Clark and push myself towards her.

"Rudy it's not what it looks like" I said my eyes widen. "He was-" I get cut off by Rudy.

"I knew it! You liked him! Why else would you listen so closely when I talk about him!" Rudy screamed at me.

"I don't like him, he isn't my type." I said, slowly walking up to her. She backed up.

"I thought I could trust you..." Rudy said before she ran off. I looked down, holding back tears. Clark put his hand on my shoulder to comforted me, I pulled away from him and walked to my next class. When I got to my next class, Rudy turned and looked away from me. I tried to sit down next to her, she put her stuff in the seat I was trying to sit in. I looked down and went to a different seat. Then class started. I didn't listen to the teacher much, I was looking out of the window near my seat. The teacher snapped in my face and I looked up at her, rolled my eyes, then looked back at the window my  hand on my chin. Rudy looked at me for a second then looked down.

"Kat, can you come outside of the class with me please." Teacher said looking worried about me. The class looked at me. I got up with my eyes closed and walked out with the teacher.

"Is everything alright, I know this is your favorite class. Is something going on or bothering you?" My teacher said to me. I looked away refusing to talk.I  mean why should I tell her! She is never there for me in the first half of my life. "Kat, I know what happened in your past. Im not like the other teachers, i'm the teacher kids reach out to." My teacher said to me with a calming smile. Tears filled my eyes  and hugged her crying. She hugged me back and took me to the office. Rudy came and gave me my stuff.

"Don't do anything I won't do, ok?" Rudy said to me, I nodded. "Want me to tell Clark you said bye?" I nodded slowly. She smiled. "You are into nerds." Rudy laughed and walked out with the same smile on her face. I smiled as well and sat down, waiting for 'mom'. Yes 'mom' not my real mother. She is nice but can act like a mean parent.  Mostly what i've been through as well. It takes about a hour and 30 minutes till she got there. I grabbed all my stuff and went to the car, I sat in the front with the seat belt on. My 'mom' got in the car and drove me to the house so I could put my stuff inside. She drove me to therapy. I go here a lot, but I hate it. When we got to the therapy I saw Clark. I stopped and Couldn't walk it. Clark and I locked eyes. I backed up and Ran out of the door.
