Shay's POV

Jessica looked up at me with scared eyes. She currently 3 months pregnant, and we get to find out the gender of the baby. Not to mention we also sign the official papers today for the adoption. Jessica is rather nervous about the whole thing, but for the most part she's eager to get it out of the way. I'd like to believe if she had a better mindset, then she could take care of the baby. But Jessica is the type of person who doesn't like to have anything tying them down, but she also wants to make sure the baby goes to a good home. One where she can make peace with her decision to let go. Suddenly the doctor walked in and interrupted my thoughts.

"Are you ready for this?" She asked Jessica. All Jessica could do was node due to her nerves. The doctor then looked over at me, and smiled. "Who's this?" She asked as she shook my hand.

"I'm her friend, Shay. I'm the one who will be adopting the baby." I said with a smile. She then nodded.

"Oh, you're the one I've heard all about. Honestly this whole situation fascinated me. You're willing to adopt a child at such a young age. I honestly wish there were more kind hearted people like you in the world. Now let's find out the gender shall we?" She said with a smile as she got things set up. "This will be a little warm." She said as she squeezed the gel onto Jessica's stomach. She then placed the wand on her stomach, and began moving it to find the baby. When she found it she took pictures, and drew some blood. She then stood up from her seat. "I'll be back in a moment with the results, and the adoption papers." She said, before walking out the door. Jessica then sighed.

"I can't believe how nervous I am." I then gave her a soft smile.

"It's ok to be nervous, Jess. You're carrying a child inside of you, and you are about to sign your rights away to it. Just know that if you want to keep the baby, then it's not too late. Once we sign the papers, then it's too late." She then shook her head.

"I don't want to keep the baby. I know I can't be a good mother for it. That's why I'm glad it's you I'm giving it to. You were practically born to be a mom, and I know you'll love and care for it like a mother should. Besides, parenting isn't my thing." I then gave her a small hug, before Yesung rushed in. He kept huffing and puffing like he was out of breath.

"Jagiya, are you ok?" I asked, and he smiled as he leaned over, and placed his hands on his knees.

"Yeah."

"Did you run here?" Jessica asked in a surprised tone.

"Of course I did....that's....my future....child in....your belly." He said, while trying to catch his breath. I then walked over to him, and kissed him on the cheek. Then the doctor returned with the papers. She then handed them to Yesung and I, after we signed our portion we handed it to Jessica. She then nervously signed her name to it. After we handed it back she smiled widely.

"Congratulations it's a girl." She said, while handing me the ultrasound pictures. I then smiled widely as I looked at the ultrasound pictures.

"Just think, won't be much longer till we get to meet our daughter." Yesung said, and he hugged me tightly. I then felt a small tear fall down my face. There weren't tears of sadness, but tears of joy.
