*Gianna's pov

The car ride to the airport was silent. I parked and stared at the plane he would be on shortly. We got out and I went around to hug him. He sat on the hood and pulled me close. "I'm gonna miss you so much." "I'm gonna miss you too Gi, and Gabby too" he said. "I'll call you when I land" I nodded and kissed him long and hard. He went around and knocked on her window and smiled. She got out and leaned against the door. "I'm gonna miss you Gabby" she nodded. "I'll call you okay. Keep me up to date on what's going on at home" he said. She nodded and looked up at him. "I'll miss you too" she said. "I love you" he said. "I love you too" she said and hugged him. We watched him walk toward the plane. Gabby sighed, "now what?" She asked. "Now we get some girl time" I said and we headed back home. We went back to her room and set up her reading corner with cushions and some lights in the canopy. We made the bed with some new sheets and comforter. We filled in her closets and dresser with clothes. "Thanks Gianna" she said. "Anything for you Gabby." We headed into the baby's room and finished putting all the clothes and toys away. "Can we make cookies?" She asked. "Couldn't get enough of Wendy's huh?" I asked. She shook her head and I laughed, "come on." We headed to the kitchen and pulled out the ingredients I remembered from making cookies with my mom. Gabby helped me mix it all together and plop the cookies on the pan while I heated the oven. "Mmmm these look good!" I said pulling them out a while later. I put them all on the rack to cool but we couldn't resist. I poured two tall glasses of milk and we each grabbed a warm cookie. "Ready?" I asked. She nodded and we took a bite together. Her face mirrored mine as we ran to the sink and spit it out. "Eww! That was gross" she said as we rinsed our mouths. I looked eat the ingredients on the table, the salt and sugar were next to each other. "I think we mixed up the salt and sugar" I said. She nodded, "try again?" She asked. I nodded and we tried one more time making sure to pay close attention.

Adam called as I pulled the second batch out of the oven. "Can I get it?" Gabby asked. I smiled, "sure put it on speaker" I said and carefully put each cookie on the rack. "Hi Adam!" Gabby giggled. "Hi Gabby, what's so funny?" He asked. "We mixed up the salt and sugar when we made cookies" I said laughing. "Hi babe. Oh I see" he said chuckling, "how did those taste?" He asked. "Awful!" Gabby said making a face. "So how was your flight?" I asked. "I don't want to talk about it" he said. "Lots of turbulence!" I heard Matt yell. "Shut up" Adam said and I giggled. "Love you too Gi" he sighed. "I love you baby I'm sorry" I said. "So I have two pit tickets to the New Hampshire show" he said changing the subject. "What?! Pit?!" Gabby asked. "Well yea you didn't think I was going to keep you back stage did you?" "Backstage?!" Gabby squealed. "Am I missing something Gi? It's hard to tell" he said sounding serious. "It's just, I love your music and always wanted to go to a concert but mom never had the money for even the worst seats and now your talking backstage and the pit!" She said excitedly. "But I'm your dad and you've met the guys?" He asked still confused. "Yea but it was short lived, I mean my mom...." "I see, well I'll make sure you and Gianna get an early flight and we can hang out and maybe you can get all your fangirl out" he chuckled. "Oh my god! I'm so excited!" She yelled and slipped out of the room. I laughed and picked up the phone taking it off speaker phone. "Hey babe can we talk seriously for a minute?" I asked glancing toward the living room where Gabby ran off too. "Of course. Something wrong?" He asked.

I took a deep breath, "did Tiffany mention anything about Gabby being on any medication?" I asked. "No why? Did she?" He asked. I shook my head, "no but since she got here I've noticed, well I've noticed she's sort of all over the place. Except when it comes to music or art" I said. "What are you...." He stopped. "You think she has ADHD don't you?" He asked. "Well it's been in the back of my head. I thought at first it was just because she was nervous but it's been a few days and well it seems that way" I said. He sighed, "baby?" I asked. "I've been worrying about this since you got pregnant. I asked my doctor and he said that disorders like this are passed down through the father and I've been terrified about passing it down. I hate knowing I'm messing them up" he said. "You're not messing them up Addy, we don't know anything for now" I said. "What should I do?" I asked. "Nothing, let's wait to see what's going on with Tiffany" he said. "Alright. I love you baby, you should get some rest, I know how plane rides kill your nerves." "Yea I should get something to eat too, I'm starving. Bye baby I love you" he said. We hung up and I went to find Gabby. "So how excited are you?" I asked sitting next to her. "So excited!" She squealed. I laughed, "can I hang out in my room?" She asked. "Of course" I said and watched her run upstairs. I sighed and laid back on the couch.

2 days later*

"Hello" I said answering the phone. "Mrs. Levine?" The voice asked. "Yes?" I questioned. "This is LAPD, your husband asked to stay informed about the Hart case and provided this number, is he home?" The woman asked, "no he's on tour. Are there any new developments?" I asked nervously. "Yes ma'am, I am sorry to say that Ms. Black was found dead this morning." My breath caught in my throat and I held in a sob. "I see and Mr. Hart?" I asked. "He was found at the scene standing over her, he is being arraigned as we speak and it looks like he'll be put away for a long time" she explained. "Thank you for the information" I said and we hung up. Shit! My hands shook as I called Adam. No answer. I tried again I waited and waited. No answer. I groaned and called the big guns, Shawn. "Gianna?" He asked answering. "Finally! Yes! Where's Adam?" I asked my nerves shot. "He's in an interview" he said, "what can I do for you Gi?" "Get him" I said my voice shaking and nearly breaking. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Just get him, now!" I said. The phone was silent while I waited, please before Gabby wakes up! "Gi?" Adams smooth familiar voice soothed me. The sob that was caught in my throat released, "Gi what is it?" He asked. "She's gone" I said softly. "Gabby?" He asked nervously. "No" I said shaking my head, "Tiffany" I murmured. "Shit" he said. "How's Gabby?" He asked. "She doesn't know I just got off the phone and called you" I said. "What do I do?" I asked suddenly lost about how to handle this. "Wait to tell her. I have to finish this interview and then we can Skype and work this out together" he said. He chuckled, "how is it our roles reversed here?" I smiled some, "don't know but it's a good sign baby" I said. "Okay let me go I'll Skype you as soon as I'm done" he said. "Okay I love you." "Love you too" He said. We hung up and I stared at the phone.

Gabby came downstairs then, "morning Gianna" she said softly. "Morning Gabby" I said smiling some. "Breakfast?" I asked. She bit her lip, "can we get starbucks?" She asked. I smiled, "yes! I'm really in the mood for a frappuccino" I said. I slipped on my sneakers and grabbed a sweatshirt and we headed out the door. We got home just in time to hear the ringing of the Skype call on my laptop. "Is that Adam?" Gabby asked. "Yea come sit" I said and hit answer. "Hey ladies" he smiled. "Hi baby!" I said happy to see him. "Hi Adam" Gabby said. "Okay so I got a call this morning" I started. "About my mom?" Gabby asked. "Yea sweetie" I said taking a deep breath. "They found her this morning" I said. "They did?! Where is she?" She asked. "Sweetheart I'm so sorry" I said my hands on her shoulders. "She's, she's gone?" She asked nervously. I pulled her close, "he's in custody though and is being arraigned as we speak" I said. She cried on my shoulder a minute before pulling away and running upstairs. "Gabby!" I yelled and ran after her leaving the computer on. I ran into her room, "Gabby, please talk to us" I said rubbing her back. "No how could you not tell me?!" She cried. "I wanted to tell you with Adam so we could answer any and all of the questions you have. This is hard I know that, that's why I wanted Adam there when you found out. You're not alone in all of this" I told her. "Well what now? You're just gonna cast me aside like I don't matter!" She yelled. "Gianna?" A voice called from downstairs, Adam? Can he yell that loud on a show night? "You do matter and we aren't casting you aside. Come back downstairs and we will work this out." I pleaded. Her shoulders shook from her sobs but she nodded and followed me downstairs. "Gianna, there you are" Jesse said. "I saw Adam but didn't see you I was worried," he said. "Is Adam paying you to keep an eye on me?" I asked eyeing them both. They looked at each other then at me, "uh...." "Yea that's what I thought" I said. I smiled, "it's okay Jess. But we have a family crisis at the moment can I get back to you?" I asked. He nodded, "I'll check in next week" he said and hugged me.

Gabby and I sat back down at the table and looked at Adam. "What now? My mom is gone" Gabby managed through her endless tears. "Well I know what I want but what do you want to happen? Do you want to go back to your grandparents? I can arrange that" he said. She looked at him intently, "no" she shook her head. "Then what do you want darling?" He asked his voice and eyes filled with concern. "I want my dad" she said and leaned against me crying. He bit his lip. Adam covered the mic and moments later Shawn walked in. We couldn't hear them but I could read their lips. "Gabby do you want to come out to the show tomorrow night and the next few after that?" He asked. She looked at him. "For real?" He nodded, "and if your flight gets in on time tonight too" he said. She nodded, "I'd really like that" she said. He did some math and figured it out. "If you get on the next flight, oh let's say it's a 10:30 flight you'll get here just before show time" he said. "Can we Gianna?" She asked. "Of course but if we leave at 10:30 that only gives us 30 minutes to pack and 15 to get to the airport" I said. "I'll see you then, I'll text you when it's all set" he said. "A car will be waiting outside." I smiled, "thanks babe" I said. "Thanks Adam" she sniffed. "Anytime. I love you both." "We love you too" I said and we hung up to pack as many pants, shirts, sweaters and jackets as we could.
