DAPHNE

If it wasn't for my 'sake', then I'll just stick to the university where I have once studied. It was such a waste. Leaving the past behind isn't that easy, I have waste the opportunity but then my Parents showed up and interrupted it.

"Daph, it is for you so just forget about it." For the tenth time, my childhood friend convinced me again about what happened.

Yeah, he's my Mom's friend's son, so expected na na sasabihin niya yon. I guess, my Mom already told her friend the situation kaya ganito na lamang ang pakikitungo sa akin ni Lance. Mom convinced her friend to convince Lance to convince me. Damn.

"Perhaps, the university is good for you. I checked their school papers, there are many clubs, events, championships, the teachers are also in a high level. Don't you know that there's a possibility to reach your dreams easily by just studying there?"

"Wait, what is that university again?

"Alcazar High School." Tumaas ang kilay ko, by just hearing the name of the school seems to be simple but it is kind of unusual. Madalas kasi na lugar ang pinapangalan. Alcazar is way too obvious to be a surname. Maybe it's their own trademark?

"And where is it located?" Muli kong pagtatanong. They just told me that I have to transfer to another school and live in a unfamilliar place. They didn't even tell the reason.

"Batangas, I forgot where is it exactly but you'll see when you get there. Tatanungin ko rin si Mom mamaya."

"Why so far? Inis kong sabi then here's his annoying giggle. It wasn't a joke tho.

"Don't get the wrong idea. Maybe they want to test you to be independent without their presence? Daph, you are 16 at baka pagdating mo sa edad na 18 magkaboyfriend ka na. You know, we don't know our own future." Aniya pagkatapos niyang tumawa ng mahina. Biglang umarko ang kilay ko.

"Boyfriend? What is that? I haven't seen such word before when I am reading Dictionary." Tonong sarkastiko ang ginamit ko. And having a boyfriend or something is not my thing. That would be terrible kahit iniimagine ko palang.

"Malay mo diba?"

"How are you nga pala? It's been months since you visited me here, is it good there?"

"Well, everything is fine. Need more training to get that position." Napatango na lamang ako, it's good to hear that he's managing to be successful like his Dad.

We bid goodbyes before hanging up.

"You should, anak. It's the decision of your Dad. You know what will happen if you say no."

If life isn't unfair, who knows what will Earth look like?
