Jessica's POV
I walked into the studio to record, and I found the last person I wanted to see. Lee Hyukjae. I then huffed in annoyance as I walked past. He then tugged at my arm to turn around, and face him. I really don't want to talk to him.
"How did the doctor's visit go?" He asked.
"It's a girl." I said, and he nodded.
"Did you get the DNA results as well?" I then sighed.
"Yes, but I had to hide it from Shay."
"Shay was there?" I then nodded, and he smiled.
"Hyukjae, this is your child." I said, and he ran his hand through his hair.
"Damn it."
"Don't worry. You don't have to take care of it. I'm putting her up for adoption. That way after she's born we don't have to bother dealing with each other anymore. I know you don't like me. It's not hard to tell. But sadly, you can't have Shay. She's in love with Yesung." He then growled in annoyance.
"My feelings for Shay is none of your business. Also why didn't I get a say in putting the baby up for adoption?"
"Because you don't want face the music, and take responsibility for your mistake. But maybe you'll take comfort in knowing Shay and Yesung are the ones adopting the baby." His eyes then widened in rage.
"Jonghoon will not raise my daughter."
"It's too late. I already signed the adoption papers. There's nothing you can do." I said with a smirk. "If you want to be there for your daughter, then you better talk to Shay. Shay's the one who wanted the baby in the first place." He then bit his lip. He hasn't spoken to Shay in almost 4 months, which makes him sick to his stomach. He loves her, but instead of telling her, he allowed her to believe he was dating me. He was too afraid to be honest with her, and now she fallin into the arms of another man. All because he didn't see what he had, when he had it. "Besides you haven't spoken to her in 4 months Hyukjae. You need to sit down, and talk things over." He then let his eyes fall to his feet.
"I can't."
"Why not?"
"Because she deserves better. I hurt her, and now I'm paying the price for it." He said in a depressed tone.
"It's not too late, Hyukjae. Just tell her how you feel, and she deserves to hear the truth from you."
"No. I don't want to put her between a rock and a hard place. She deserves to be happy, even if it's not with me." I then pinched the bridge of my nose in irritation.
"So you are going to let her go on with her life? Make her wonder what could have been between the two of you? That's worse than telling her the truth. If you tell her the truth, then she can truly know where her heart lies, and more importantly, who with." He then stayed silent for a moment, before looking up at me.
"I'll tell her the truth, when the time is right."
"When will that be?" I snapped. "When you think the time is right, then it could be too late. The longer she stays with Yesung, the more time she has to fall in love with him. But remember it's not just your life you're fucking up if you don't tell the truth. It's Shay's and Yesung's as well." I then walked away, and didn't bother turning back.
