The door keeps on banging as I hold my brother in my arms, holding him close so that he won’t be scared.
“Nikka, I’m scared….” He whispered his voice shaking, however, the worst scenario was just about to begin.
“Don’t be Ronnie, I’m here…”
“F*cking pests! Open this damn door right now!”
*bang!*
*bang!*
*bang!*
The banging of the door continues, minutes passed by. Finally, the banging stopped.
Hesitant, I got up and went near the door to check if her father was still there.
“Wait here Ronnie, I’m going to check if his still there.” I say in a hushed whisper, “Now remember, I will leave the window open. If ever I get caught, I want you to escape.”
“But, Nikka….”
“No Ronnie! I would rather die than let him get his way with you. You will escape here, do you understand me?!” she shouted in a low whisper, and I never had the opportunity to respond back to her
She slowly made her way towards the door, creeping, listening if he was still there. Only hearing silence, she slowly opened the door. She peered at the hallway, looking from left to right.
“Hooo, were safe Ronnie…” She whispered.
“You stupid pest!” “aaaaahhhhhh!”
“Ronald! Ronald wake up! RONALD!” I jolt up, startled and at the same time relieved to ever get out of the horrible flash back.
