" mom you know I don't believe in fairy tails." Maialy said after slumping into a chair with her breakfast.
"It's not a fairy tail it's what people may call a legend." Maialy's mom declared with her soft sweet voice.
"Why can you just tell me what happened to dad."
"No one knows where he went." She took a deep breath and let it out. " all I can tell you is what people believed had happened to you father went."
Maialy lost her dad when she was only 2 months old. She would ask her mom every day if she would tell the truth about where her father is. Knowing by the high voice she talked in when she was lied. Maialy knew her mother Mary wasn't telling her something.
"Fine I'm going to school."
"At least finish-." The door slammed before she could finish her sentience.
Mary sighed then took out her phone. She dialed a number. Soon a man picked up on the other end.
"What's going on, is everything alright." The man on the other side said.
" she needs to find out at some point. We can't hide this from her forever."
" I know."
Maialy stood at the bus stop with her head phones in and her music turned down low. Her foot taped slowly to the beat of the song.
"Maia" her best friend Rachel yelled from the porch step of her house. Rachel came running down the steps and to Maia. Books in one hand and her other hand holding holding her glasses up.
Maia nodded her head. "Sup." An hush rolled over them for a few seconds.
" did your mom tell the truth this time?" She said trying to start a conversation.
"No she never dose."
" have you ever considered that she is telling the truth."
Maia started to raise her voice." No she isn't I just know she isn't!"
