Sleepless night (chapter 1)

(Ava's POV)- I suddenly woke up in the middle of night after having a bad dream. I took a glance at my clock to see what time it was. After checking the clock I got up out of bed and made my way to the kitchen where I found Pierce standing in front of the frigid.
(Pierce POV)- After having a long fight with leaf about not killing princesses Ava I made my way out into the kitchen with no one in sight. I saw this large metal thing that was cold to the touch. I had noticed that it had handles that I could grab onto. My attempts of opening it was useless until I heard someone behind me. I turned around with my sword in my hand but I quickly realized that it was princess Ava. " my apologies princess I though you were leaf".
(Ava's POV)- Within seconds of walking into the kitchen Pierce grabbed his sword and quickly turned to me. He said that he thought that I was leaf of course I apologized as well since I did startle him with out a warning. He asked me why I was up so late so I had explained why. After he offered to help me sleep better. I grabbed a glass of water and went back into my room with Pierce following behind me. I laid in bed getting ready to go back to sleep with Pierce sitting next to me on the floor. As I started to go to sleep he noticed that it was a struggle so he rubbed my back and patted my head. Within seconds I fell asleep.
(Pierce POV)- princess Ava talked to me about he sleeping issues in the kitchen so I offered to help since she looked like she needed it. She grabbed a glass of water and went into her cambers with me following behind. After she drank her water she laid in bed. I got on the ground next to her and watch as she tried to sleep I knew that she is calmer when I rub her back and pat her head so that's what I did. Not long after she was asleep peacefully. I stayed in the room the rest of the night watching her and protecting her from leaf.
