Chapter 29: Birthday Girl!

{Authors note: I realised in the recent chapter I said there is school tomorrow, but I forgot it's Saturday! So yes, just to clarify, there is no school on Saturday! I've changed it.}

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

Today's the day! It's the day of my birthday! I was just about to get out of bed, when I heard a little noise.

"Beep!"

I checked my phone to see a message.

(Ethan💘: Happy bday babe! ❤️)

(Me: Thank you Etho, love you. 😘)

My phone beeped again.

(Sasha💋: Happy birthday you little angel! 🎉)

(Me: Thanks Sash! 💖)

Suddenly I heard a thump.

Me: "Oh, Jake, I almost forgot you were here!" I said watching him yawn as he just woke up.

Jake: "Hold on..." He said with a deep mysterious voice.

Me: "...Yes?"

Jake: "Isn't it a... special day today?" He said cheekily giving me a huge wink.

Me: "You tell me!"

Jake: "Well happy birthday Sam!"

Me: "Haha thanks Jake. Now I need to start getting ready for my date at seven."

Jake: "Already huh? It's only ten in the morning! Someone's excited for their date!"

Me: "Nah, I just want to be ready early!" I lied.

I jumped out of bed and ran straight into the bathroom. I took a good hard stare at myself in the mirror trying to decide how I wanted to look for the date tonight. I decided to go for red lips, curled hair, and a cute little bow to match my red dress. Boy, this is going to be one great night.

It was five o'clock, when Jake knocked on the bathroom door.

Jake: "Hey Sam, I uh, have to go somewhere... See yah later..." He said nervously behind the door.

Hmm, wonder where he's going.

Throughout the day I received heaps of birthday texts. I just don't know why everyone knows, I only told a few people...

Finally, it was seven o'clock. I nervously walked to the couch in my red dress and heels, curled hair and red lipstick.

Mum: "Sam, you look beautiful! Where are you going tonight?"

Me: "Ethan's taking me out... Because it's my... Birthday today."

Mum: "Your birthday? Oh honey, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to forget, there's just a lot on my mind." She said sadly.

Frank: "Happy birthday Samantha, have a good night."

Me: "Thanks..." Although I didn't believe he meant it, I thought I should thank him anyway.

I anxiously waited on the couch for Ethan to arrive.

"Ding!"

Mum: "That's the doorbell honey, it's time to go!" She said giving me a warm smile, waving.

I excitedly walked up to the door. I took a deep breathe, and opened.

Ethan: "Samantha, you look absolutely amazing! You did all this for... Me?" He said as his eyes were glistening with joy.

Me: "Well, I love you!"

I gave him a big hug and a soft kiss.

Ethan: "Come on, the limo is waiting for us!"

Me: "The... Limo?"

He held my hand and walked me to a shiny black limo.

Me: "Ethan! This is incredible, thank you so much babe!"

I was so happy, I wanted to cry with joy.

After what felt like thirty minutes, the limo stopped.

Me: "Woah, I think what was the best car ride I've ever been on!"

The limo driver hopped out of his seat and opened my door. I had no idea where Ethan had planned to take me.

As I stepped out of the limo, I saw glowing letters on top of a fancy looking restaurant.

It said 'Star Light restaurant'.

Ethan: "I've booked us in for dinner, just follow me Sam." He said with a extremely warm smile wiped across his face.

We entered a really pretty restaurant.

Ethan: "This is Samantha, we've booked a dinner for two." He told the man at the desk.

"Ooh yes, come with me Sir."

We followed him to a separate part of the restaurant, which is when I think my eyes exploded.

The room was filled with soothing candles, rose petals, and relaxing music. It reminded me of the time when I had just stepped out of the bathroom, to see that Ethan had decorated my room, just like this room was decorated. It was stunning.

"Table for two, right here." The man said guiding us to a table in the middle of the room, which was the only table in the whole room.

Ethan pulled out my chair as I sat down, while the man left us to have some time alone together.

Me: "Ethan this is just perfect! Your amazing, I can't believe you did this all for me!"

Ethan: "Don't mention it." He said leaning forward giving me a kiss over the table.

After a lovely dinner and dessert, we headed out. It was such a great night, Ethan really is the best boyfriend in the world.

Me: "Thanks for everything Ethan, tonight's been amazing!"

Ethan: "Don't thank me just yet, the nights not over." He said smirking while giving me a cheeky wink.

What did he mean the night isn't over? What else could he have possibly planned...
