FLASHBACK
A smile was set on my face as I walked into the kitchen, swiftly picking up the waffle on the napkin that was placed onto the counter.
It was cold but I shrugged it off. Finishing the last piece, I wiped my hands together before decending into the living room. That is, until I heard a door shut.
I whipped my head around to where I heard the noise, it came from the hallway that lead to three rooms, Dustin's, Claudia's, and mine.
I took a deep breath, grabbing a knife that was in the holder off of the kitchen counter and slowly walking towards the hallway, the knife held out infront of me.
"Hello? Who's there?" I shout as if i'd get an answer.
There was a creak that came from my room, I put my hand on the door knob, about to turn it when the phone from the living room started to ring.
My breath hitched in my throat as I shook my head, quickly walking into the living room and picking up the phone, "Hello?"
"Emmie," Elena's voice started, "Where are you?"
"Home; Claudia's. Why?" I ask, looking over my shoulder at the hall before turning back to the phone.
"Emmie! I need help!" Elena's voice trembles.
"Elena? Elena, what's wrong? Elena!" I start to panic when I was met with silence, "Elena, where are you?"
The phone line goes dead but, I still hear a voice, it was similar to Elena and I's but it was more cold and more sarcastic, "I'm right here."
I turn around, the phone still pressed to my ear. Fear rises inside of me as I see my curly haired doppelgänger smirking at me, a hand resting on her hip.
"K-katherine." I stammer, dropping the phone that was in my hand and letting it clatter to the floor.
"Oh? So you have eyes. Bravo." Her smirk widens as she claps her hands, taking a few steps closer.
"What are you doing here? And how the hell did you get in?" I try to act tough but right now, I was scared shitless.
"Lots and lots of compelling, my dear doppelgänger." She tells me.
"Stop calling me that! I know i'm your stupid doppelgänger you don't have to remind me!" I snap. I must really have a death wish.
"Well why not? The world decided to bless me with not just one, but two annoying doppelgängers." Katherine's eyes sparkle in amusement as she struts forward. I walk back as much as I can but I don't get far.
"Are you scared?" She chuckles, creeping closer.
My back was now pushed against the table as I looked up at Katherine-who was towering over me in her heeled boots. She fakes a smile before grabbing onto my throat, lifting me high in the air. One of my hands goes to her hands that were latched around my neck. It was then that I realized I was clutching tightly onto a knife.
I quickly swing the knife at her arm, pushing it deep into her flesh. She cried out, letting go and stumbling back.
"You bitch." She growls, grabbing onto the handle of the knife that was sticking out of her arm and pulling it out, throwing it into the kitchen somewhere. I'm pretty sure into the sink which is cool but, i'm definitely not gonna compliment her while she's trying to kill me.
I spin around, jolting for the door. I was about to reach for the knob when I get spun around. Katherine pushes my head to the side, resulting in me bashing my head on the floor.
My vision became shaky as Katherine pulled me off the floor. I could feel liquid spilling from my temple and my nose as I stood on wobbly legs. Katherine looked me up and down, probably proud of her work. She bit into her wrist before shoving it into my mouth. The instant taste of iron making me want to gag.
The pain in my nose and head was gone as quickly as it came, "Why would you heal me?" My voice was hoarse as I talked and my throat still hurt from the bruise she gave me.
"Don't worry, i'm not going good now. I just want to mess with you." She shrugs before staring into my eyes, pupils dilating.
