It was the year 2015, I was 9 months pregnant and was in the house bored. I was scrolling through Facebook reading people stories and wishing some would give us more parts. I finished reading and got mad because I wanted to read. I then thought about writing my own story. I went back and forth with myself because I was shy but I knew I was a talented writer I had a books of poems and raps I've written. I finally got up enough courage and started my intro, I asked the group I posted in should I continue and in about 10 minutes I had over 50 people saying yes please, It felt good! so I gave them more parts. I started writing more and more and started growing a fan base. They told me how talented I was, how they loved my stories how i should become an author and just showing me so much love. About 2 months later I decided to start my own page called shays twisted short stories a lot of my followers followed me where I gave them more stories and interacted with them. I really enjoyed writing it was life, after about a year I broke my phone and I stopped writing, it hurt me but I thought maybe that was a sign that this wasn't the career for me. It's been 2 years since I have wrote and I thought about writing again but I was once again scared that I lost my followers or I just didn't have the talent anymore.

Present day

I prayed that I got a sign letting me know it was ok to start back writing, well 2 days later I started getting inboxes of people asking me to join my story page. They would send me messages asking when was I making my return and they missed reading my story. I felt like that was my sign I asked for, I thought of something and started to write and they ate it up, I started writing and more people started reading. Then boom my phone broke AGAIN I told my readers and they was devastated they was telling me to make a go fund me account so they can send me money for a new one. I didn't want to let my readers down so I started a go fund me account, No one donated. So I kept using my broken phone to write, it took me hours just to write one part. Soon after, I had a reader inbox me and say she loved my stories, they help her through her depression, she wanted to send me a tablet. I cried and gave her my info 2 days later my tablet showed at my door step I thanked her so much, now Im able to write edit and I'm trying to publish a book I love writing and I would love to make this my career, this is my story!

You've reached the end of published parts.
