3rd Person P.O.V [(N/N) is nieces name]
She lived just a couple miles outside the walls. Everything was peaceful, surprisingly. Her family lived in a small village, just under a dozen families. Titans were a surprisingly rare sight. Any that posed a threat were killed. How? Because there was at least 1 person in each family who retired from working as scouts. But they were no match for when the attack in 845 came.
The day was nice, the sun shining and flowers glistening with morning dew. Children ran around in the village and into the meadow. They laughed happily as they all played a game of tag, all wearing smiles. But in a split second, everything went wrong. The sky churned with red as the sun was blocked out, the warm air turned chilly, and the smiles of children were replaced with faces of fear.
In the distance, a titan appeared out of nowhere, and it towered over the wall. It kicked a hole in the wall and disappeared right after. Thundering footsteps were heard, and the inhabitants of the village screamed. The retired scouts were caught off, guard, unable to prepare for the horde of titans coming their way. 14 year old (y/n) (l/n) ran to the stables, grabbing her niece's hand in the process. They made it to the stables, and the teenager threw the child onto the horse before jumping on herself. Tears blurred her vision as she urged her steed forward. Everyone she knew and loved were gone already, and if she didn't get out of there soon, she would be as well. She looked to the side an saw her sister yelling at her.
"Run (y/n)! Take (n/n) and protect her, ple-" she yelled, but was horribly cut off by a titan picking her up and biting her in half. The girl cringed when she saw the sight, and turned back around to run.
Blood splattered the ground, and bodies that weren't whole littered the ground. She heard the loud wailing of her friends and their families, and she heard the loud sobbing of her 5 year old niece as well. She didn't say anything, too busy drowning in her own sorrow and guiding her 4 legged companion left and right through the legs of the monsters that feasted on human blood. She had almost made it! One more titan to dodge, and then she'd go to Shiganshina and board the boats that would take the two to Wall Rose. Distantly, she heard hooves coming her way, and when she looked behind, relief crossed her face.
Scouts! The real deal, were surging forward to her position. Relief washed over her at the force of a river. They were safe. The scouts would kill the titans, and they'd help her and what was left of her family get to Wall Rose. But all good things come to an end. Some things quicker than most.
SMACK!
A humongous hand came crashing down, sending the teenager, the toddler, and the horse flying. A horrified 'NEIGH' came from the horse, while a blood curling scream erupted from both girls throats. They landed off to the side, the horse dead, the teen on the ground, and the 5 year old nowhere to be seen. The same hand that smacked her, came forward to grab someone but it wasn't the 14 year old, instead it was her niece. Hot, angry tears ran down her face as she watched, frozen and horrified, her niece's head disappear into the titans mouth.
It all happened so fast, a raging fire was ignited in the girls body, and she became taller than the monster that had just taken her last family from her. An ear-splitting roar came from her mouth and she charged.
Commander Erwin P.O.V
The girl was whacked and I immediately set off towards her. But I slowed when I saw a young child be picked up and eaten. Rage surged through me, and I raised my blades, ready to attack. But I never could. A bolt of lightning came down and the teenager before me grew the body of titan. As I was about to deploy my 3DM gear, she surged forward and towards the other monsters. Strangely, she didn't attack us, only the savages that surged towards her.
No less than 5 minutes later, titan corpses littered the ground, dead, completely dead. Only the girl from before stood tall and strong. I didn't want to move, I couldn't. I felt...afraid. Had there always been humans who could turn into titans? If so, how many? Who are they? Why are they here? Thousands of questions surged through my mind, but then then the ''girl'' or whatever she was, fell. I watched as steam erupted from the nape, a titans weak spot, and the girl seemed to be lying there.
"YAH!" I urged my steed forward and approached the corpse with caution. Using my 3DM gear, I saw the girl was somehow connected to the titan. Climbing onto the corpse and looking in, I raised my blades, not to kill, but to release her. The flesh that connected her arms and legs were cut off easily, and she stayed unconscious. I put my blade to her throat, and that's when I saw the tears that ran down her face, a face full of grief.
