True learning
Only science, business, politics, religion can never make our society more advanced, if education fails to teach us the moral values, if it fails to build us up as humans. If a school fails to teach a student about protecting the environment and controlling environmental pollution, then there is no use of such learning.
The learning which will not only make us skilled but also build up as true humans will be considered as true learning. The learning which will teach us to prevent wastage of natural resources and, conservation of natural resources, will be considered as true learning.
In our daily life science has a special contribution. We owe it to science every moment of our life. Science fulfills our demands and protects us from dangers but can only science protect us? If we keep on misusing science, then science itself will be the cause of destruction of our Earth.
We cannot plant trees, but while felling trees our hands do not tremble. We are even bent upon destroying the Amazon forest. On various occasions we burst so much of firecrackers that the environment gets very much polluted; we do not even notice that.
Due to the effects of this ill-learning we are leading our future generations towards a dark world.
The rate of environmental pollution has increased several times. The developed countries are ranked topmost in polluting the environment. We are destroying forests at will. What will be the consequences of this in the future? We have no concern for that. We have made the Earth unsuitable for many other living beings. There are many living beings that are endangered and even extinct because of us. We have spoiled the balance of the natural food chain.
Today, empowered with science, we are bent upon destroying that very nature in the hospitality of which we have begun our lives. We have degraded natural beauty and wasted natural resources. We have spoiled the balance of the natural food chain.
If we equally divide the natural resources among ourselves, then poverty will not exist on the earth. Yet, due to unequal distribution of natural resources we have created poverty.
If this continues, then the next generation may question us why have we knowingly kept on pushing the Earth towards destruction? That is why we must change ourselves from now on.
That is why we must have to be well educated. We must upgrade science. We must keep watch so that science directs our Earth towards real advancement. Misuse of science must be stopped.
