"do you t-t-think we could have a sle-sleepover t-tonight?"
"yeah, sure! well, id have to ask my mom but.. im sure she will say yes?"
richie muttered. he always pretended like his parents cared about him. he didnt want anyone knowing what happened in the toziers house. someone would call child protective services, one thing would lead to another. he would probably be ripped from his family along with his sister and put into an adoption center or some shit. he had the worst ways of hiding it, but he tried. the two remained silent as georgie read a book his older brother had just bought for him. bill didnt let his little brother get just any book, as there were lots of dirty things that happened in normal chapter books. god, he didnt even know why the boy decided to read chapter books anyways. most kids his age were still stuck on picture books.
"lets go" richie suddenly suggested, tired of being around so many people.
"yeah, come on georgie"
the three boys all got up and started leaving. the rain had finally stopped, it always did when trash mouth was with buh-buh bill. the two always had fun together, always liked being around each other.

"and then she told me i have a pee kink! like how would she even know that!?"
eddie giggled as stanley finished telling his story. he doodled on his sensitive and soft skin with a red marker, his favorite color. the rain softly fell on the roof, hard enough to be heard. beverly shoved her hands in the chip bag, grabbing multiple chips and shoving them all in her mouth at once.
"hey, gimme some!"
she handed the half eaten large family sized bag the small group of kids were working on.
"what ya doin kassie?"
beverly asked as she got up to sit next to the small boy sitting 'criss cross apple sauce'.. bird boy laughed at the nickname and opened his nearly fallen apart notebook almost completely filled with bird facts and studies. quite obvious why his nickname is bird boy.
"dont call me that!"
eddie pulled the cold marker from his skin, no longer feeling the ink bleeding all over his leg. the letters wrote 'r+e'... that must be the strange boy from his dreams, right? beverly thought, knowing very well theres no way he could've gotten a girlfriend or boyfriend. knowing eddie, he would have freaked out over it in their group chat. bragging about how he was dating and still neither of his friends were even anywhere close to meeting new people. because, none of them really cared to. the three were satisfied with just having each other.
"r stands for richie..."
eddie whispered, the pain in his voice echoing through out the room. the rain finally stopped, and instantly the sun came out. stanley reached for the chunky, black radio beside him, turning it on at once, in attempts to lighten up the mood. a fast, paced indie song turned on. bev stood up and held out her hands.
"come on, kassie, lets dance"
she offered a warm smile. he grinned back and took her hands.
"gayyy"
stan blurted out, it was an inside joke between the three. eddie laughed at his silly remark. as much as he would like richie to be there, he wasnt, and never would be. but he was coming to terms with it, he was finally starting to accept the fact the only person he wanted didnt exist.

"shut the fuck up richie! youre such an asshole. I hate you!"
the words that came from his girlfriends mouth hit him hard. she left and slammed the door behind her, leaving richie scared and lonely yet again...
