A happy ending? Freedom for monsters? Justice? These were what I wanted for them. So why did everything end up like this?

After I broke the Barrier, and freedom everyone, I thought it would be better. And I guess it was for a bit. Toriel and Sans got together and I was adopted into their family. Papyrus resurrected Chara and gave her a new soul. Alphys and Undyne got married. Everything was great, it seemed everyone was willingly greeting the monsters with open arms. Though I couldn't have been more wrong.

It wasn't long before a radical group of violent cultists came from the shadows. At first they didn't seen to do much, a protest here, minor assaults there. It wasn't until the 3rd of #$%^ xxxx when they murdered their first monster. At first every news channel covered the story, even the nation guard was called in to protect Monster kind. But it wasn't enough, I don't know how they got a hand on their weapons, and I don't care. The only thing I know is they slaughtered the Guard and started killing every monster they could find. It wasn't until the Royal Guard teamed up with the National Guard did they start making head way. But by then it was to little to late, they had some how gotten a hold of a soul container and reverse engineered one for monster souls. Using this they could capture a monsters soul and absorb it getting horrifying magic powers.

It only got worse when they finally took out a boss monster.... Papyrus, and they did so in the most cowardly way possible as well. After that it was all out war with the cultists, and Sans was our best and greatest general. We figured out a way to give him more then 1 HP and fitted him in Temmie Armor to be safe. I knew from... experience how strong Sans really was and with his one weakness out of the way and him in Temmie armor. He was unstoppable, even Flowey was mad over Paps death, so much so he left the underground to fight. Sadly it wasn't enough, little by little they killed everyone except Sans and Flowey.

(Much later in the underground)

Flowey: "Frisk, you've done enough, just reset and we can fix everything." Sans: "Yea kid, promise or not I won't get mad at cha' I swear." Frisk: "That's not enough! Don't you get it? Even if I do reset and bring everyone back it's either we break the barrier and this all happens again, or we stay in the underground FOREVER! I don't want that, I want everyone to be happy damn it!" Sans: "Kid, I get want you're saying here but what else can we do? It's not like you can go back in time an prevent the first Human/Monster war or anything. And even if you could WHICH YOU CAN'T, I doubt even you could stop it from happening." Flowey: "......Hmm, actually... Maybe they can go back and try to prevent the first Human/Monster war." Frisk and Sans looked at Flowey in shock, as they gathered closer he began to explain.

Flowey: "Yea, there maybe a way to go back in time farther. Back when I was the one doing resets I found a glitched save file. I could never get it to work cause I lacked the Determination to use it back it was from way WAY WAY back before the war. I don't know who's it is or why they even had one before the core was made. Maybe the save files aren't made by the core like I thought, or maybe it was something similar to it from back then. All I know if it's there, and you can only access it in one place. In front of the Gray door that's sometimes in Water Fall." Frisk: -Gasp- "In front of Gaster's door? Are you sure?" Sans: "Gaster?!" Flowey: "Yea I'm sure, no way to know if that door's there at the moment though." Frisk: "Well I have to try, I'm Determined to stop this from happening once and for all." Sans: "HOLD IT!" The both of them gasped and jumped back a bit from Sans's yell. Sans: "Putting Gaster a side for now, messing with the time line like that is going to have VERY SERIOUS repercussions. Listen Kid I get it, you want this not to happened again next time you free everyone, but if that's the case there are other ways to do it. Muddying up the time stream like that it's going to rewrite history in such a huge way it's not even funny. Hell none of us were even born yet, it was Asgore's father and mother that fought in the war in the first place." Frisk: "Wait, I thought Asgore and Toriel fought in the war, didn't they?" Sans: -Sighs- "It's easy to think that, but no it was their parents. When Asgore rose to be king his parents past down their memories to Asgore. And please, don't ask how kid." Frisk could only nod as she looked at Sans. Frisk: "I get it, but be that as it may. If I prevent the war, none of you would be sealed away. Human and Monsters would be living in peace instead of fighting. I think it's worth a shot, and if I fail then I'll true reset and fix everything." Sans sighed heavily knowing they couldn't talk Frisk out of this.

Sans: "Fine, but promise this kid, next time around, don't wait till everyone's dead to tell me how you feel huh?" Frisk smiled and nodded kissing Sans on the "lips" as they headed off the find this grey door of Gaster's. The long walk down to Waterfall would have been annoying, but thanks to Sans's shortcuts it was easy t get there. Though the journey was fast the search for the door was a different story all to together. Frisk was forced to save and reload more then a few times while the three searched. The frustration of their search began to weight on the three of them after a while. Though Fisk was determined to see this though no matter what. It didn't matter how long they had to search, Frisk wouldn't give up, she couldn't.

How long was it days, weeks, or months, to them who knows, but for the rest of the world it was in the span of a few minutes. When the others were ready to give up, that's when they found it. Gaster's door standing tall and grey. Frisk: "This is it, with everything I learned from the history books in the library, I should be able to stop the war from ever happening." Sans: "Yea... you sure this is what you want? It'll change everything, and we don't know if it'll be for the better or not." Frisk: "Yes, this is the only way to save everyone and prevent all this suffering." Flowey: "Yea, and if worse comes to worse, then she can just true reset and we can think of another way later." Sans sighed and nodded and Frisk opened the Load Menu. Frisk: "! There it is! Now how to access it." It was soon apparent that not even Frisk's level of Determination was enough to load that file. But with all three of them working together it, went from grey and inaccessible to colored and ready to load. Sans: "Kid, I guess this is it huh? See you soon... and please, be careful." With a tearful good bye from the three of them Frisk pressed the button and vanished, back to the years long past. To before the great Human/Monster war.
