The moment wasn't eternal, but the intimacy drew out the rest of the day. Tuckered out by the extensive walk to the site, Shin had no desire to venture further and explore. You sat down together at a light overhang to the immediate, nearby revine.
Shin pulled out a book from his satchel. It was Swedish; the cover titled "Kärlekskatterna", which didn't register to you. It didn't really bother you, as the sound of him speaking Swedish was sultry and addictive despite not understanding much of it.
He leaned in, pressing against you as he opened the book. He gave a provokitive glance silently asking if you wanted him to read, which you gave a confirming nod. With that, the cat looked down at the book and began to read. And read. That voice... so entrancing.
Pages flipped by. Time flowed like water. Everything he spoke began to blend together like a fine brew of linguistics. Your eyelids felt heavy. Your full body began to get weighted down. Ahhh.... time to close your eyes. Only for a minute to take a brief reprise...
...."........Eh? W-! Terra!" A voice said with urgency.
Your eyes opened again. Senses began to reboot. Your cheek was smudged up against something.
"...what...?" You groggily slurred
A silky touch landed on the opposite side of your head. As your vision cleared back up, you saw the world sideways. Not for long. The silk touch had a kick of force, shifting your head upright and bringing the world topside up again.
"I think you fell asleep while I was reading..." Shin remarked.
He sounded let down, alluring to sadness. Your slumber must've been seen as caused by disinterest.
"No, hey, Shin... I... I wasn't bored. Your voice just... soothed me." You placed a hand under his chin.
The feline let out a sigh of relief, and his cheeks gained a familiar pinkness. He had no more words to say on the matter, and expressed his feelings with a quick peck of a kiss straight to your lips.
He got up and went back to the tent silently, and you followed. The tent itself was very prestine and high-quality. Shin was careful about his comfort and safety, and the extra money spent to have such a tent proved it.
Snuggly, you both fit in together. The horizon line was a thick orange. The day drew itself to a close as you layed in a soft embrace with the cat in the sleeping bag. Together, intertwined with love, and one with the natural world.
There was nothing that could stop you anymore. Nobody and no stress could tear the one you loved away.
