The bright red liquid bubbles as a woman falls slowly towards it. Slowly falling. That woman is me. This is the beginning of an end. For myself, and my friends. Why? Let me tell you. It was around fall, last year. Hurricane Patrick had just hit New York. Sparks were flashing throughout Times Square, while construction workers were rebuilding the Empire State Building. I was a lawyer, and this was a very busy and stressful time for me. People were constantly rushing into my office while I was trying to sort out problems with others. Then, one man walked in. He was the only other person in the room with me. I could tell that he had something to say.
The man stared at me for a few seconds. I had his complete attention. His first word directed at me was "Zach." Confused, I said "Zach? Zach What?" "Zach Hollenport. That is my name, and I am here to recruit you." he said. Still confused, I said "Recruit me for what?" "A secret agency." he replied. "You seriously think that I am going to join you in some stupid secret agency? Nice try, but I think that Judge Judy might just be a better fit for your so-called agency." I said in a frustrated voice with attitude. Zach stared at me with a disappointed look on his face and then said "Okay, but can you at least take my card?" I took his card, and then told him to get out of my office. When I got home that night, I looked at his card and realized something. Something interesting.
The card. The last name. It all made sense. Why did it make sense? Because I dated Zach's older brother, Axl in high school. They must have been working together in the agency and Axl told Zach about me. Axl was actually a pretty nice guy, so I thought that I might as well check out the agency. The next morning, I called Zach and I was on my way to the underground lair. But it wasn't underground. It was above ground. WAY above ground. I arrived at the location to see that a rocket from NASA was there to take me away. I was skeptical, but both Axl and Zach were there. So off I went, on that ship that went 1500 kilometers per hour and out to space. The rocket stopped, just right to put us on this big white ball. The moon. I didn't see anything on it except for craters. And a giant elevator.
Axl, Zach and I all went into that giant elevator with our spacesuits on. But when we pressed the button for floor -3, we all floated up to the top of the elevator as our bodies adjusted to the awkward changes of gravity. I swear that the elevator was going faster than a bullet. I started to feel sick as a bubble of vomit floated into the air. Disgusting, right? The elevator stopped and we all fell to the floor as gravity returned. The doors opened and the vomit somehow flew out of the elevator and stuck on to a metal wall. I looked up. A man in a lab coat that looked about the age of 60 walked to the newly opened doors and said "The vomit magnet is my new invention. Brilliant, isn't it? I created it because so many people were coming down here." A flash of pink light zoomed behind the old man and then turned into a girl with pink hair and half a shaved head. I looked over to Axl and Zach to see that they were gone. So was the old man.
The cement. It was in the cement. They placed the explosives inside the hollow bricks. My body suddenly feels empty. I still feel alive, even though I have just been blown up. Like there is a little spark in me. I stand up and hear a "SCREECH!" My skin is gone. My insides are gone. I am a metal skeleton covered in blood. The thought of it makes me want to vomit. But I cannot for there is nothing to come up. I had an idea. Time travel just might work. I run back to the spaceship, which takes me to the moon lair. I grab the pail that has the blue liquid that deactivates bombs and a paintbrush and jump into the time machine that the Professor created. I jump off the top of the Empire State Building and purposely crash through a window so I can get into the building. I break into the custodians office to grab the vacuum. On the main floor, I pour the liquid into the vacuum, set it to blow, turn it on, and then I splattered the liquid all over the walls. Everyone was outside, in chaos mode. But then, it all stopped. All the screaming, all the running and all the crying.
