What makes your blood run cold like an icy river? A shiver down your spine, you know, that feeling of dread before you open a closed door? When you think there is something on the other side, but then there's nothing.
What if one day you open that door and there is something. Staring back with dead eyes that draws you in like a void, inescapable death, pain, and sorrow. As you stare, unable to break the connection. The monster, the reason God stays in heaven, rubs a cold finger with one to many knuckles down your cheek, it feels burnt and rotten. Feels almost as it is about to fall off, but at the same time feels powerful.
You finally break the stare to look back and see nothing; but everything feels wrong. You get the feeling that something is watching you, burning holes right through you, as you hear a deep growl. The type that rattles you to the bone. So loud you feel the ground shake. Your ears start to bleed as your lights shatter. You feel it's presence, the feeling of dread envelopes you. You try to scream but nothing comes out.
As another explosion of a growl thunders through you. The walls around you start to crack, paint chipping and falling to the ground. Then out of the void of darkness made by the monster, you hear a soft cry from a faint voice "Daddy why are you hurting Mommy?" As you realize that you are the monster, you try to fight the demon, try to push it back.
It's a battle of the mind that you have lost. Under the crushing weight of its strength you give in, feeling it's power flow through your veins, coursing through your heart blackening it like the hellish void your in. As you hand over your last bit of control the last thing you hear is "Daddy your hurting me".
