Ranks of the Pack

Alpha

Leader of the pack. Normally female, they protect and scout territories. They establish territory, oversee hunts and accept/decline new wolves into the pack. They have the ability to punish or banish those who defy them. Their is usually two or more Alpha's, but its becoming more common for just one.

Beta

They are the second in command. They organize boarder patrols and Hunts. They keep the peace, but are willing to punish or banish those who defy the Alpha. They are usually the ones to train Apprentices.

Healer

They are usually trained much longer than normal apprentices, they have special privileges (I.E. Able to gather herbs in any territory, Etc. ). 

Deltas

They make up a council. These wolves are chosen by the Alpha for important decisions (I.E. Moving the Pack, Going to War, Etc. ) But are rarely called upon. They have the same duties as the Hunters.

Hunters (Warrior)

Does morning hunt, Guards and does patrol. They are almost the least important member in wolf society. They MUST obey those higher up or face punishment or banishment.

Apprentice

They are usually trained by the Beta. They usually upkeep the dens and help the Healer.

Pup

Pups become apprentices at 5 Months, until then they are allowed to free roam and are expected to keep themselves protected.
