(Mackenz's POV)
I woke up and saw on the other branch Ymir wide awake and Eren was unconscious. "You're awake. Good." One familiar voice said. I looked up and saw Reiner and Bertholt next to me. I stood up and looked Reiner dead in the eyes.
"Mackenzie..."
"Reiner... "
He walked towards me but I stopped by putting my hand to his chest.
"Congratulations...
You just invented a new kind of stupid. A "damage you can't undo" kind of stupid, a "opening the cages in the zoo" kind of stupid, a "Truly? You really didn't think this through?" kind of stupid. So, let's review."
I leaned against the tree and crossed my arms.
"You took your feelings and warrior code and decided to kill two birds with one but you pulled a real dick move back there and broke her heart...
So scared of what your enemies would do to you, but you're the only enemy you ever seem to lose to. Concealed your secret of being titans and betrayed the only friends you two ever known. It's no wonder that you're still single if you can't hold on a girl for very long! So yeah!
Congratulations..."
"Mackenzie..."
"You truly sacrificed your love for her, Reiner. Congratulations... "
"What the hell do you know about sacrifice?!" Reiner shouted in anger at me.
"Sacrifice?..." I stared at Reiner with venom and hate.
"I gave up my reckless teen years to raise a kid and Kiara's letters kept me going...
I stared at other teens having fun and think 'God, what have I done with my life and what did it get me?'...
It doesn't wipe the tears of years away, but I finally met her and remain loyal to her and you know why I'm here..."
"Mackenzie..."
Reiner had his hand to my face and I grabbed his wrist to stop him from touching me. I furrowed my eyebrows and I was ready to murder the bastard.
"It wasn't because of you..."
Reiner had a worried look on his face.
"I know Kiara like I know my own mind. You will never find anyone as trusting or as kind. Some months ago, she said to me "This one's mine." so I stood by...
Do you know why?!
I love her as she were my own sister! I'd choose her happiness over mine anytime! Kiara...is the best thing in our lives! You'll lose sight of the fact that you were blessed with one of the best girls!
Congratulations...for the rest of your life!

I was listening to Hamilton and I wanted to do the song "Congratulations". I watch Broadway musicals way too much...yet I love it! Had to tweak some of the lyrics to match my story.
