(Percy POV)

Meri points back over to where HC was, her hands covering her mouth. Holy shit HC's fighting them off. I reach into my backpack and grab my bat, then turn to the door to help HC. 
"Stay in here, i'll be back soon, alright?" I say shutting the door. I sprint at full speed to where she had just shot another one of those things, swinging my bat all around. She shoots me a look of admiration; I grab her hand and yank her over to the car, still running. HC jumps into the back while I get in the front, and everyone lets out a collective sigh of relief. I give her another glance, she smiles, and I smile back. Wait shit how do I get the car started? I grasp the wheel and search around for any sort of key, which didn't seem to show. 
"Out the way, pig bitch." Kyu says, shoving me into her seat. Kyu sticks her head under the steering wheel, messing around with some wires. Forgetting about her I glance back behind me at HC. 
"Are you alright?" I murmur, giving everyone back there a concerned look. HC lets out a small laugh, and holds her head in her hands.
"Oh for sure! I definitely didn't almost get eaten by mind rotted cannibals!" HC almost yelled, a sarcastic tone filling her voice. 
"I'm sorry HC.." I murmur, "I'm just glad you're alive." Showing her a small smile, which she slowly returns, I turn back to Kyu. Her head pops back out from under the wheel, the car bursting to life. 
"FUCK YOU SCHOOL! YOU NEVER TAUGHT ME HOW TO STEAL CARS!" She yells at the top of her lungs, followed by whooping. At this point I've grown tired of trying to censor the children from Kyu's constant cursing, so I just grab the seat belt at my side and shove it into the buckle.
"Buckle up, Mar." I say turning back to her.
"Okay Poet." She murmurs, doing as I had. I smile at her, then Meri, and then HC; they return the smiles and nod at me. Turning back to Kyu, I notice she's revving the engine, attracting more of those things. What the- Kyu????? She gives me a smirk and starts driving recklessly through the crowd of mindless cannibals, not caring who or what she hits. We all bumped and clashed around, looking for anything to grab onto while Kyu swerved back and forth.

Kyu turned the car into a random garage, looking around for any sign of life. We had drove for around 40 minutes at the very most, slowly losing those things. Kyu parks and unlocks all the doors. We all let out a sigh of relief, knowing Kyu won't be driving. More of those things noticed us and started coming full speed at us, ready to get a taste of our human flesh. Meri made a mad dash for the door that lead to the house and slammed her fist on the garage open/close button. It started to close, but not soon enough; more of those things were attracted by the sound of the garage. Meri, being closest to the door slams it open and rushes everyone inside, to find it completely empty and dark, besides the one window with a slight gap in it. I glance around at everyone, a feeling of dread washing over me as I notice the stench. A seeping smell of death and rotten eggs clogs my senses, and out of the corner of my eye I see Kyu covering her mouth. Imara dashes over to her, obviously concerned for how she might be feeling. To my left there is a broken window, and to my right lays an illuminated staircase. I cast a glance to the others, stepping onto the staircase. They collectively nod so I head up, the smell growing worse. Meri looks up at me concerned while also clinging to HC. I turn back, inching my way up the stairs, bat drawn. Theres 3 doors at the top, 2 on the left and one on the far right. 
"Kyu and Meri, can you guys help me up here real quick?" I murmur, turning my head to face them. They slowly oblige making there way up the stairs. "I need help with the rooms, Kyu can you take the one on the right, Meri and I take the ones on the left?" They nod, heading for the doors. I walk slowly to the door and creak it open slightly. Inside is a normal bathroom, towels and paintings lining the walls. It's a small, confined space with nothing of value in it. I reach back to the door when the sound of a gun goes off. 3 times. I rush out of the room, Meri already running toward the sound while downstairs Imara and HC have a panicked look on their face. Meri and I reach the doorway, and right at the front lays Kyu, 3 holes in her head.
