Ben went to his chamber, and sat on his bed cross legged. He reached out with the Force, searching every corner of the galaxy for Rey's presence. Finally he felt it, he grabbed it and held onto it with all of his strength, maybe he could start a connection, if he tried. "Rey..." he whispered through the Force and she appeared before him. The smallest smile appeared in the corner of his mouth, but it quickly faded as he realized that she was not at all happy to see him.

"What do you want?" she asked in a sharp tone. She must have sensed that he had done it on purpose this time.

"I... I just wanted to see you, I wanted to renew my offer to you. Join me... I'm changing the First Order little by little, it may take me some time to completely change them from the old corrupt ways they're used to, but I think they can change... I have to give them a second chance..."

Rey seemed angry. "A second chance, Ben? They'll never change, they're evil... you know that. Come with me to the Resistance."

"How are they any different from me and FN-2187? If they don't deserve a second chance then why do I? Why does he? I don't see you calling him a monster or reminding him of all of the evil things he's done in the past." He tried not to yell, he normally felt so calm in her presence, but he just couldn't believe what she was saying.

"Ben I've forgiven you, but the First Order has to be destroyed."

"Why? If we destroy the First Order many will die, people like FN-2187 and me who were taught their whole lives that what the First Order does is right, I'm giving them a chance to make their own choices for once, the right choices." His voice softened. "That's the thing about war Rey, there's good and bad on both sides, sometimes bad people can be used for good, but sometimes bad people use good people to get what they want."

Rey looked at him for a moment.

"I'm not saying that everyone in the First Order is good Rey, I'm just saying that they deserve a second chance."

Rey thought for a moment, but then seemed distracted by something in her surroundings. "I have to go..."

"Will you think about it?"

She nodded, then faded from sight.
