Midday tomorrow, All Heros shall report to the castle entrance and be taken to the church to thank our great Goddess Otharis for the safe summoning ritual.
It. Is. Mandatory.
Do not be late.
-------------------------The next morning, albite reluctantly, I got up and started getting myself ready. The time for the church visit wasn't until noon so I got to sleep in a little bit but that didn't mean I wasn't still tired. I wonder if Bear got a good sleep too, although unlikely. He usually stays down in the lower levels at this time, probably in a cold room.
The little beastman had cleaned up and eaten before heading out again last night, his black hair now silky smooth and shiny. If it wasn't for his clothes he'd look like any normal well taken care of child, although that wasn't the case. I sent him off with a small parting gift though from what I could remember in my sleepy state.
Sitting up I scratch the back of my head, my hair messy and all over the place, no hair tie holding it back like usual. Still, It was sooo worth giving it to Mars. The way his face lit up was so sweet. I felt really good making him smile so widely. His hair isn't long enough to use it so he just wore it on his wrist and swore not to take it off. I'm guessing they didn't have such things here for the people I saw had ribbons or strings holding their hair back.
That was a problem since I didn't really want to use either, but there was no choice I supposed. After tying my hair up and getting dressed, I headed out. The corridors were just as fantastic as they were the first time I walked through them, but I got used to the sight really quickly.
Everyone was to gather at the castle entrance, a long red carpet stretching out towards the double doors where the world beyond laid. I got there pretty early thankfully so there weren't many people from my class. The ones already there all left me alone which I was quite happy about, it gave me time to think by myself. It seemed we all wore the same thing however, similar to uniforms I supposed.
A white dress shirt along with a white jacket lined with golden thread that matched with pure white pants. Instead of a zipper for the Jacket, there were golden buttons and thin shoulder pads as well. Fancy but not my style. The girls wore more or less the same thing but rather than white pants and a jacket they wore white, long sleeves dress shirts and high waist skirts that went down to mid-calf instead, the ends more thickly lined with the pricy yellow thread I could never hope to afford back on earth. Maybe I should steal these clothes and sell them off if I ever get out of here. . .
"Hey, punk!" The voice rang out in the more or less quiet space, annoyed and bratty, deep and loud. I didn't pay it any mind as I remained near the door, back against the wall and away from everyone. I kept my gaze to the floor and did my best to just ignore everything and stay out of the way. It would be bad if I drew any attention to-
"I'm talking to you you know, dammit! You damn monster, look at me when I'm speaking to you yellow-eyed freak! Lizard boy! Outcast!" My brows furrowed and I eventually ended up looking up, sighing in slight annoyance at the man who had his attention turned to me. Harris. I wasn't even doing anything but standing here, I don't understand the logic of these people. So what, is my existence just annoying to them? Still, this was a good opportunity to check his status, wasn't it? I shouldn't say the command out loud though or else he'll get angry no doubt. 'Appraisal. . .'
