Blood. Slayer Blood. The Devils themselves are killing us off one stake at a time, tearing through us like a lion through a herd of gazelles, then they call us monsters.
Pathetic. Absolutely Pathetic. I can only hope that I'm not caught. If I am I shall be doomed. I lock eyes with the cold-hearted killer. He knows. He knows everything. I cannot stay for I fear I shall be killed but I must not let this show to him. He's coming. He's following. Every step I take to exit. He's there. Run. I shoot off faster than the speed of light.
Running through the bleak and sombre forest is my only safe bet staying away from the place I once called home. The place of both my birth and my death.
Pain. Agonizing pain. My skin blisters as the sun pierces through my skin like an arrow through its target. I need to find shelter. I can't survive without my daylight ring. My skin is a birch tree splintering the unwanted skin cells.
The slayer is catching up to me. I must hide. My heart is beating throughout my cold undead body making me fear the worst.
There. A darkened cavern. The walls are covered in wet moss and mould. I can here until the sun sets then I can find my ring.
There are footsteps outside the cavern. They are growing louder and getting closer but I can hear more than one pair. He must have brought more slayers. I am too weak to fight. Is this the end? How many slayers are there? Will they show mercy? They're right outside I am surely doomed.
My name. It's being called. I recognise the voice but I don't know where from. My head feels like a ton of bricks. I close my eyes and let the darkness consume my already cloudy vision...

Feebly, I open my eyes to see I am in a bedroom filled with sunlight. How? My ring. Whoever both found and saved me must have found it. I look around and see two faces I haven't seen in about a hundred years. "Damon! Stefan!"
