This is my first serious story. Please try to be kind to me. Grammar natzi's welcome, as long as you're nice about it.

The girl's adorable giggle as she ran around in her pale pink dress in the park by his school caught his attention. Then her hair in pink tails whipping wildly behind her from her speed was next. She stopped, hearing the yelling of an adult to one of the toddlers. She frowned, the look of upset not sitting well with him as he watched her, though he couldn't ascertain as to why. He went to get up to see what was wrong but stopped in his tracks as he saw her walk up to the grown-up who was causing the noise. He couldn't help the smile on his face as he saw her telling the adult to back off of the preschooler. The woman looked at her admonishingly, but the girl would have none of it. She told the adult that there was no reason to yell at the tot that way, and there were better ways to teach. The sass and the respectful way an eight-year-old girl spoke to one older than her while still sticking to her ground made him feel odd. His chest felt funny, and his stomach dance with giddiness his twelve-year-old brain did not understand. He knew he was going to have to get to know this beauty and keep an eye on her.
