Chapter Two:Tanner

Ouch!What kind of idiot runs into someone at the beach?I get up and brush the smooth sand off me.I look down and see the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life.I was instantly in love.

"Hey,I'm so sorry for what happened.You alright?"I asked the unknown girl.I wonder if she's naturally that pretty?

"Yeah, I'm good, but what do you mean "sorry"?I was the one who knocked you down!I'm sorry."apologized the girl.She was still on the ground.

"Don't be sorry.I swear,it's okay."I reassured her.I helped her up.

"Thanks."replied the girl.She started blushing.Dang, she's cute!

"Your welcome.Hey,what's your name?I'm Tanner.Nice to meet you!You seem like a really nice person."I complemented her.

"Thank you.My name's Laila.Nice to meet you too."Laila answered.Then I had an awesome idea.

"Laila,do you wanna come hang out with me and Ryan?We were just going to get smoothies and hang.I'd really want you to."I shared to Laila.

"I'd love to stay with you,but I'm here playing beach volleyball with my friends.I'm sorry."Laila responded.Crap!

"I'm so stupid.I shouldn't have assumed that a pretty girl like you would be at the beach alone.You want my phone number?"I flirted with Laila.She nodded back.

"Here."I told Laila.I wrote it on a piece of paper and gave it to her.I saw this girl Haylie from school run up to Laila.

"Laila!Are you alright?Come back and play with us!Carter has to leave soon!"Haylie demanded.

"Okay Haylie,I'll be there in a sec!"Laila yelled.

"Call me later!"I reminded her.

"I will.Bye!"Laila called to me and then ran away.I started walking over to Ryan.Why didn't I ask her out?I never get nervous asking girls out!But,Laila,oh Laila,she's different.She's the prettiest,nicest girl in the world.I feel kinda weird.I think I'm in love with Laila.
